The Italian Paras look nice, but I would like to see some Normandy [or battle of the Bulge] Fallschirmjäger. Think this is a gap in the Normandy K & C series, what doe everyone else think?

Yes, I would welcome that.

Some years ago, K&C did some nicely done Crete FJs of which I have a few.

Maybe early war smocks might help to keep the cost down e.g. Capture of Fort Eben Emael?

As long as the helmets have the decals!!

The Crete FJ's were excellent, and quite sought after it seems on the secondary market.
A standout set for me of that series was the " prisoner and escort" FJ006-07, the escort nco figure holding stick grenade and mp40 was really well crafted.

Done like the American Airborne with parachutes would be the way to go.

I would love to see some for a Monte Cassino series, 1st Fallschirmjäger Division to be exact.

A fascinating battle, every time I read about it I expect the Germans to lose , and am horrified that they hung in there for the win !
The Crete FJ range was excellent , but I suppose that has been done, it would be good to see the early fallschirmjager sets re- done in Normandy/ splinter camo smocks etc...

As a Kiwi, I'm passionate about the battle for Crete. Much of the focus in recent times has been about the FJ Germans struggle to take the Island and their huge loses, however the Allies were also seriously under equipped, having been forced to leave most of their gear in Greece.

K&C early Grey FJ's are some of their best in my opinion and the poses and detail on them is exceptional. I would love to see some Allied troops produced for this battle. Like the invasion of France, these were desperate times when little seemed to be going right for Britain and it's Commonwealth partners.

The UK Navy came to the rescue and in the end saved the day for many.

I'm a firm believer that the Mediterranean theatre of WW2 is an untapped TS subject ripe for the picking.

Yes a fascinating battle, but for the mistaken decision to withdraw from Maleme, when the para's were just about to crumble to nothing themselves, it would all have been so different!

For Allied troops in the Med theatre 8th army do well though, maybe too many short trousers though :)

Yes the Crete FJ's are an amazing range, great quality even against today's standards and expectations.
The poses on the even earlier FJ sets of 003, 004 and the fj tank hunters ( seemingly based on Ron Volstadt's artwork) are impressive and full of action, would be great to see a new range based on them one day.

Re: Fallschirmjäger

Yes the early series of Fallschirmjagers for Kreta was first class!!. I purchased them all and would have gladly gone further with the series had KC not once again made the decision not to go further with new additions.

I like many collectors have been waiting many years for KC to produce Fallschirmjagers for Normandy and the Ardennes Campaigns but they are still "Missing in Action" an unforgivable oversight on the part of KC as far as i am concerned!!!!!!!.

We get hoards and hoards of SS"ers, Brownshirts, and marching Black uniformed nazis but the Elite Luftwaffe Divisions of Fallschirmjagers who were
ever present in two of the most important hard fought battles of WWII seem to be completely ignored.....and i will not believe that these figures if released would not sell.

The reasons for not releasing these figures are only known to KC themselves and they are not telling....????????????.

I'd love to see more FJ's ...but I think we have to admit we have been spoiled really, month in month out new figures (and lots of them ) from all sorts of era's, which I think is phenomenal really, and can't work out how Andy and his team do it...that said roll on the Gran Sasso rescue range !!

Agreed about more FJ's. We all know Andy is full of surprises and his philosophy has always been 'never say never'. :salute::

I think the more collectors discuss and ask K&C for further releases of FJ's on the forum the more chance it is to happen.

I always find adding a few snaps of previous dio's and actual photographs of WW2 of the subject matter helps bump a thread along.....

So give it a go.

...and if K & C like doing SS so much, how about SS para battalion 500 ( involved in the daring glider raid to capture Tito in 1944) ...?
