Favorite and must disapointed toy soldier buy 2011 (1 Viewer)

Wayne,

You know I love you but if we can avoid needless friction, don't you think that's a good thing. Like I said, my LAH comments were causing unnecessary problems so I made a pledge (unsolicited) to Shannon and Andy to not make 'em anymore.

That's all I'm saying bro :)

Mate if people can't take a joke whats the world coming to,posting on this forum is like walking on egg shells sometimes its not a perfect world,in life as in this forum mate if i think it i say it,that's me im not changing and if i get the "A" from here so be it,i will survive.
I noticed the MODS didn't delete it and know one else complained that's my first FL dig for ages Sammy would of laughed at it,and that's who it was intended for.^&grin

That's the trouble isn't it mate. It's a very touchy place and what we would say to each other if we were at a pub is, unfortunately, a lot different, than when many personalities (maybe some of whom we woudn't be friendly with) rub shoulders internet style.

What i say on here Brad i would say to anyone,s face, not a problem i don't hide behind the fact that 97.18% :)D) of people on here i will never meet, like i said as in "Real" life if i think it i say it mate. One day i will get to the states well Chicago and we can meet in a pub because if im not looking at TS,s i will be having a beer.................:D
(Love ya to buddy )

I sure have a favorite purchase of the year and that is the "Household Cavalry" set I received from John Firth (painting and base) and Alan Caton (sculpting), shown below.
No dissapointment for me, maybe because I share the same attitude with our fellow forum member "kilted vampire" who says " I never met a Toy Soldier that I don't like" :) :wink2:

Bar none the best toy soldiers I have purchased in the past decade were my Figarti Abrams tanks. They delivered on all levels.

Biggest surprise 1.) KC Mounted Roman Counsel- never was a fan until I scored him in a trade with my buddy from the best coast- McKenna 77- he is just a really well done figure and am glad I have it. Lots of intiricate details that make him stand out!! 2.) The Roman Optio from First Legion- the detailing and weathering on him make him really stand out in his century.

No disappointments- my sentiments echo a lot of the opinons expressed on here already- rising costs preclude dabbling in other lines that I find I might have a casual interest in.

So many great releases......JJD planes are sensational and K&C Napoleon in Egypt series is unique and wonderfully sculpted.
Constructively speaking I was disappointed in the K&C French Napoleonic line infantry. They were nicely painted and sculpted but "over-sized" in my opinion.
I look forward to the FL Renaissance series.
