My favorite JJ range by far are the figures associated with the Sudan and Nile conflicts.

Do you think JJ will ever make some Egyptian defenders?

Keep it silly

Hey Big Dude,
I have to agree. It is my second favourite JJD range behind The Great War. The latest Bulk sets of Royal Marines and the Beja casualties at USD$250 make each figure $25 each and has enable me to complete my Sudan square of Highlanders and Royal Marines with gatling and gardiner guns on the corners very cheaply.
Excellent range John. Keep up the great work.
Keep well big fella and my best to the KGB.:smile2:
Cheers from the Land Downunder, Howard

My favourite ranges are the Peninsular War and War of 1812 ranges. Unfortunately, it seems John has decided to pursue other ranges at the moment. Hopefully, we will see some new releases soon from the Napoleonic era soon!

Cheers,

Brendan

I have only shown two dioramas on the forum since the start of this year. Both have been the FIW series in the JJD range. So i guess you could say that is my favorite .The truth is i like them all and would collect the lot if i could afford it.Just started my third FIW diorama of the Qubec series, which will feature that great boat. I find the JJD figures to be well made, and nicely painted. I also like the interesting expressions on the faces.Got to get back to my diorama.Happy collecting Greg.

French and Indian War is the vast bulk of my collecting. But once there, I have become very fond of the marching sets, but only for a "full release" - privates, corporals, sergeants, officers, drummers, etc. Then I am very happy.

I am split on this question. :rolleyes2:

I love the JJD Indians in the RSF series. I have everyone and two of some sets. John makes the BEST Indians (IMHO of course.) I keep hoping the more "peaceful" Indian figures are in the future. Something like First Legion has just released.

I also have a good number of War or 1812 (USCH and BCH). We need more British officers and non-combat figures here also. I also have the 1812 Marines which need to be extended.

Mine is the new War of the Roses series. This has always been one of my favorite topics in history and when I caught wind that they were being made, I was thrilled!

My favorite series is the brilliant Knights of the Skies. Who doesn't love airplanes with a lot of wings?^&grin Next in line is the closely related Great War series and the wonderful Poilus. I also collect the 1745 Jacobite series, whose figures I believe to be the best in the TS world. The POA series is also in my collection and are the first JJD figures I ever owned. I am also delving into the WoR series just because I think them so unique. Truth be told, I guess I'm just a JJD addict.:wink2: -- Al

Feeling the same love for KotS as Al. Being a collector of TS, diecast and scale aircraft replicas, I can state pretty unequivocally that there's nothing else like Jenkins' off-the-shelf collection of model and figure sets. Its selection of WWI replicas and figures is both broad and deep. Collectors can buy a model and a couple of figures and set up a beautiful little display or diorama. On the other hand, the same fella can go all out. JJD makes enough models, figures, facades, vehicles and equipment to easily set up a VERY believable ten or twenty square foot display devoted to either the German or British air services. I suppose it would be possible to SCRATCH-BUILD similar items for other TS, diecast or scale model product, but collecting JJ is a whole lot easier, and frankly far superior to what I could ever create on my own. No voids being filled here, just lots of TS-joy collecting and displaying Knights of the Skies!

....my favourite range ? ...an easy question to answer....as it comes from my favourite matte manufacturer....

...the Jacobite Rebellion...

...and I really could do with finding out how the last 'wish-list' winner, the British Artillery Crew Defending, is coming along....hint, hint, hint !

:)

Always good to hear from you dude. I'm sure you've got everyone on blast down there in Donnybrook. No doubt you're getting excited about the upcoming NFL draft too.
Just make sure your country doesn't spend around 17 million to figure out it wants its same flag. KGB is well dude and back to breaking my you know what most days of the week.
Thought I would include a few keen shots on my Sudan Campaign dudes. Fort built and constructed by fellow Frogger Mike Miller. Am going to add two anniversary sets of Beja Casualties when they become available. At $25 a figure, I just can't see turning that down.
Keep it silly

Fully agree, favorite range is Jacobite Rebellion. So......would love to see those open numbers for the Royal Ecossios filled in with new figures.

I agree with al of that ..... :)

PLUS .... I'd love to see more from the 7 Years War in Europe, I really liked the Battle of Leuthen diorama and would like to see something on a similar theme from a painting of that era.

Maybe a quick recast and paint of some of the North American British and French or Battle of Culloden Brits could be a starter ?????

A great fort displayed, and a good collection and arangement of figures.Nicely done Sir. Regards Greg.

my favorite range is (of course) the FIW series. For which I humbly ask some following adds:

Naval Cannons...are coming!!
Long Canoe....is coming!!

Long Canoe with British or French soldiers on board,
Indian Women with boys, animals, fire camp etc.
Civilians Traders, Trappers, etc.
soldiers in duty uniform,
Horse Wagon like the one below..
a new Blockhouse in three pcs, 2 floors and the roof (not split in half as the first one)
a new Log Cabin,
British and French Limber with crew,
walls to add to St Louis Gateway,
Highlanders climbing the Carillon trenches,
Grenadiers landing from the (new) Barge
....
cheers
Carlo

JJD started with the French and Indian War, and produces more figures, accessories and scenics than any other maker. This series will remain a defining representation of the company.
That said, however, their expansion into so many other eras and conflicts truly reflects the talent and versatility of John and his company.
World War One, with its vehicles, airplanes and figures has moved up to a "center piece" status along with the FIW!
The Jacobite Rebellion, as others have mentioned, with its colorful uniforms and excellent sculpts is one of the most exciting series on the market.
And now the Wars of the Roses has the potential to rival any maker of Medieval figures.
Potentially JJD's Napoleonics (War in Spain) and Leuthen (SYW) could be expanded to create formidable series for these conflicts and bring in many new collectors.

So many exciting and expansive series that I just can't pick one favorite!

My favorite was the FIW Battle on Snowshoes sub-range.

Dude mate,
That is an outstanding fort. Always knew that the Big Texan Dude was a class act and a gentleman to boot. I am sure a set of 10 Beja casualities would add some blood and guts to your fort.
Trying to think of the name of the bloke that should be taken first in the NFL draft!!!!!!!!!!!^&grin^&grin^&grin May have to ask young Tom Dubel.:smile2: Still think its a sheilas game. I always thought you were an honorary Kiwi and an All Blacks fan. Rugby Rules.:D
Take care my friend.
Cheers Howard

PS Third in my favourite ranges is the Jacobite Rebellion.
