Forgetting value or rarity, if you could only keep one item in your collection, what would it be? (it can be a set as opposed to an individual figure, but it must have been sold as a set).

For me, I think it would have to be my Arsenyev Mughal Elephant....What say you?

For me, it would be a K&C wooden tiger tank (made in the Philippines with several versions) which is exactly the same as the one kept in K&C headquarters.

for me...

that's easy...

AE003...Ancient Egypt..."The Chariot"...

has got to be one of the most intricate...colorful pieces...K&C has made...

which I just happened to buy another one yesterday...^&grin

After all the time I have been collecting my favourite is still Winter Tiger WS070 (SL)

The set that is the most important to me, on a sentimental basis, length of possession, and importance to my collecting history is William Britains set 144A (I think this ID# is correct, could be 1440). At any rate, it is a Royal Field Artillery limber and gun in Service Dress set that consists of a mounted officer, a limber with 6 horses and 3 mounted gunners, 2 seated gunners on the limber, and a field gun. This set belonged to my father, which he got circa 1924ish. It is complete and in very good, undamaged condition. He gave it to me when I was around 10 years old (estimate 1963) so it is not only the oldest piece I own in actual age, it is the piece I have had the longest in regards to my metal toy soldier collection. The first and the best. No idea what it's worth but it isn't going anywhere anyway. -- Al

This is a difficult question. I am pretty sure I would go with my first Durbar Elephant but there are a few others I would want as well. But for the purpose of this discussion here it is

It might seem odd for someone who likes to paint his own - but the set I treasure most is "Britains Centenary Set" of the Royal horse Artillery. I bought this one years ago - and reminds me of the Grandfather I never met. He was the driver of the lead horse (see below), in WW1 - and suffered a serious head injury form shrapnel - which, though he survived for a while, eventually killed him, before I was born. They were wearing soft caps, at the time - and the injuries became so great a problem - it eventually led to the introduction of the Shrapnel Helmet for British Soldiers.

From my WWII sets it would be the HB Gold Tiger I

A very challenging question, and hard to answer, but after thorough deliberation, it has to be the "Officer's Mess" set from my "John Firth" collection.
Yes, that would be the last one to let go.

I can see why! I remember when you first posted photos of that - gorgeous!

My first First Legion figure is still probably my favorite. The pointing German. misc 023 (640x480).jpg

If I have to get rid of my collection, the only model I will keep is my 1:32 He219. I took me a while to finish it and I don't think I would build the second one.
