Feeding the Kaiser's soldiers (1 Viewer)

I think it could used very easily for a WWII diorama as well. I don't think there significant changes to the Gulaschkanone from WWI to WWII.

Prost!

I totally agree. Long time I ve been thinking of a german ww2 field kitchen and soldiers eating....It would be the same as this one. Anyway, this ww1 dio is outstanding, wonderful.....

Right now the best releases in 2015 in my opinion. Really very nice and very very well done.

Yesterday 23101 "German 1908 Hf11 Limber, Field Kitchen, 3 Figures & Accessories", 23102 "Whats on the Menu Tonight" and 23106 "Music to Peel By" arrived on my doorstep. My wife took the main 23101 set to wrap and said I could have it on Christmas. She didn't even let me open it up to take a quick peek at it. She let me keep the two add-on sets, both of which are very well done. How many hours until Christmas? . . . . . too many LOL . . . .

Reminds me of the scene in "All Quiet on the Western Front" the cook asks where the rest of the company is and Cat, the old hand says these few men are the company and thus entitled to the rations for the whole company !

Re: Feeding the Kaiser's soldiers (The "Gulaschkanone")

The three sets really are well done and go well together.

This is actually the second version of the field kitchen I have, as I have the complete set of the WWII version that Dragon did in 1/6 scale. And yes, there would be few changes, although the German uniforms are different in a number of aspects. There is also a good book on the "gulaschkanone" put out by Schiffer.
