I think that Figarti products are well done...HOWEVER...My chief complaint is the fragility of their products.....(they are more fragile than 1:35 scale assembled models)......Does anyone else believe that Figarti should "shore up" their products to avoid breakage.... Proper blending of materials is key to product durability......Does any have any suggestions regarding this concern:confused:

I was very worried about my M31 recovery vehicle - if anything was going to have damage that would be the one. No problems! Score to Figarti.

Figarti has chosen to go down the path of scale thicknesses and close to scale parts. That will always be a bit more fragile. Sort of the price one pays for fine detail (until we get them laser welded in place!)

As far as "more fragile than a built 1/35th" - I might argue the point. If you are buying one of those preassembled things, then OK, but if you are comparing them to a contest model with all kinds of added detail? My advice - don't even sneeze around those. There's nothing like going to a model contest and hearing the occasional "aaaauuuggghhhh" as someone's detail part falls off after unpacking.

I don't find the models to fragile.

Only the faces of the soldiers to dark

Figarti has gotten much better, but I still am leary as I open a new Figarti box.
I,m waiting on the 88, anyone who already gotten theirs did it arrive ok?

On a serious note however I have had quite a few glue repairs on Figarti products.....At least 50% breakage.....most have been repairable....This problem is not due to the packaging or transport but IMO is due to the composition of the materials used......increased metal content might be the answer I do not believe that they are fragile because of scale.....Does anyone with a working knowledge of materials have any suggestions?

I am awaiting my 88,prime-mover and storch for delivery from the US of A to Perth Western Australia so will leave comments till then.........:(

I've had the V Weapons, the two Grants,88mm all delivered from Clive and never had a single problem,i find they always come in plenty of foam packing.

Careful you don't drool over that Firefly when you open it;)

I've never had any real problems (one Figarti flagbearer once arrived with the flag broken off the staff, that's all). My 8 Ton Halftrack and set of British Infantry are on the way, and I await news on my Firefly from Treefrog, so I will be able to let you know about the newest packing soon.

I have had fractures with the 1:32 scale tiger and the 8" howitzer cannon....Fortunately the breaks (although significant in size) were in areas not very visible and I was able to glue repair with bearly a fracture line.....Again I think the composition of the materials used could be the primary factor in these breaks.....It would be interesting to know the composition of materials used....and modify accordingly to prevent these breaks.......the packaging does not seem to be the problem......Otherwise a great line of products.

Fra-gile-ley.....:D:D:D.....good reply.....funny movie

Sing like this; "Deck the halls with boughs of Holly Fa la la la, not Deck the harrs with bows of Harry !" One of my all time favorite movies.

"And all was right with the world":)

BTW Figarti Tanks are the best detailed Tanks out there. They need to be treated as such. Any beefing up would ruin the looks. Skin tones? well that could use some improvement. It will happen. Look at Collector Showcase, they have totalyy improved their paint on skin tone. It will happen.:) Keep up the good work Rick and Co.!

I'm used to the breaks by now. Everyting I get from Figarti is shipped 3 times before it gets to me. But the pieces are excellent.

Fortunately, never had a breakage (touch wood) . Be careful in getting that 88 out of the box though.

Well said,i go at unwrapping like a bull at a gate, but caution is needed with the 88.

Rob

Where specifically is caution needed?

Terry

Just remove all foam slowly mate thats all, there are 'sticky out' bits on the 88 that could get snagged, but just doing it slowly and carefully will get the job done with no breaks.

Rob.
