Sorry Guys....Gotcha.....This is "Long Over-Do"....Figarti Really Needs to do this WWII Big Cat.....maybe we can convince Rick to produce it.....let your voices be heard gentlemen.{sm0}

You`ve got me there.... Anyway, here`s another voice to what seems to be an enormous choir chanting "A winter tiger please!" ^&grin

So long as the paint does not flake off or the tank arrives in 4 pieces.......Sure.

I have not noticed any paint flaking off the recent Tiger I tanks released by Figarti which I have purchased^&confuse....So the I exspect that a Figarti Winter King Tiger will be an excellent model as well.....Now Remember Gents we are all on the honour system....only one per customer:wink2:....No Hoarding for resale allowed. ^&grin^&grin

I don't think anyone is hoarding Figarti anymore, maybe touch up paint and Super Glue {sm3}

I would be interested in seeing one however, I would not buy one as I now have four of the K&C version which, IMO was a decent variant of it albeit the muzzle was too small. Always interested in seeing other versions of these German AFV's

Have to agree had no problem with Figarti tigers losing paint or there latest v1/2 but what I find funny with Panzerace keep saying they lose paint and come broken he always sell them on eBay as brand new in the box {eek3}^&confuse:rolleyes:

Sorry, my error. I did not realize you have been collecting for years and specialized in diecast metal items.

I am sorry too. Don't know why the mention of die cast was mentioned ^&confuse I have been collecting for a mere 6 years but know when I pay $250.00 - $300.00 for a 1/30 scale tank or plane it should not have to require
repair of any sort. Sure things happen from time to time...........But repeated occurances reported by numerious collectors speaks for itself.

I have been collecting Figarti for approx. 9 years now....I have experienced some of the minor problems you mention and I agree they have been troublesome... but RARE.... Rick has always replaced any defective product I have purchased without hassle.....I own approx 12 Figarti WWII AFV's...Shermans,Tigers,Winter Russian T-34 etc...I have never had an issue with paint flaking (only once on a Long Tom Cannon)....Replaced By Rick........In terms of WWII Artillery and Tanks (and now aircraft) Figarti is producing some very realistic weathered, detailed, models.....I have been very satisfied with their recent Tiger I releases and believe they are the best rendition of Tiger Tanks released to date......I think that Figarti is moving towards models constructed with a mix of hard resin with attached metal detailing "the right way to go forward".....FL WWII Models are also very detailed and realistic, again hard resin......Done "The Right Way".....This is a much better choice of material then K/C "polystone"AFV's which tends to lack detail and weathering.....I own 3 K/C King Tiger tanks and do not like them....They would require costly re-paints......I do not like the versions produced by CS as well......If Figarti uses resin die cast there will be less breakage problems and better paint adherence while allowing the detailing/weathering that most modeler's want these days in WWII AFV's....If Figarti or FL makes a nicely painted/ weathered Winter King Tiger...I WANT ONE/ maybe even 2 if 2 different turret numbers are offered....Best Frank:salute::

Frank,
First time I have heard of "resin die cast". Sounds interesting. Is anybody using this new material ?
Brett

The last time I talked to Rick about this -- and it was a long time ago so it's possible he could always change his mind -- he wasn't keen on doing one.

Brad, I hope that he does change his mind in regards to this iconic tank. It seems that there is indeed a demand for it:smile2:....In answer to Brett's Question: resin models also have a casting injection mould ie "diecast"....different from diecast(metal) but also requires a casting method. I still think it's the way to go for better detail and better paint/weathering....."polystone" is not the best medium for detailed models.....Now Guys Lets hear it for a Winterized KING TIGER done the Figarti Way:salute::

Frank,
As far as I am aware there is no such product as "resin die cast". So perhaps you are talking about resin cast in a mold. I have seen resin models and also small metal parts being cast in molds in a garage a few at a time as needed. I subsequently sent the masters to China and had better quality metal and resin models made but even then we were talking only 100/150 pieces. I have also produced a diecast model and been to a factory in China to see the set up. The difference between resin molding and diecast production is quite significant as are the production quantities involved and costs. I doubt Figarti will be able to use a product or process you call "resin die cast" but no doubt they will appreciate the input.

Seems to me part of your praise for this particular "new" production method is aimed at supporting your negative comments towards another brand that uses polystone. No surprise there as any who have seen your comments are used to it.

Brett

Not really Brett....I am just not a big fan of "polystone" models....I have quite a few K/C...I will agree that some are better then others but for the most part they lack detail....They are also heavy and fragile and too often require re-paints...I think that cast resin is the way to go for WWII AFV's with add on cast metal parts. That would solve the problems of breakage, paint flaking issues and allow detailing as is seen on 1:35 scale models I think some manufacturers will move in that direction....Since I now collect mostly FL WWII figures, I prefer them to be paired with AFV models of similar style and quality....Being a K/C dealer I can understand your position regarding my views. Thank You Frank
