British Army in France 1940 is on the retreat, eventually to evacuate back to England.... BUT will return a few years later and then it will be the Germans who will be retreating....

(still using this same scenery/backdrop setting... sorry for that.... but wanted to post this last one as I'm taking it down to move onto something else)

Again a great scene of an era not so popular amongst diorama builders
guy:)

Very nice dio. Thanks for posting

Great dio and pictures {bravo}}

So are they advancing or retreating..... {sm4}

Nice dioramas! I've always really like these Tommies. They just have the perfect posture and facial expressions for retreating/defeated soldiers. I hope K&C decides to revisit the Battle of France someday, since there is still lots of subject matter.
Cheers,
Brendan

Always liked this line of figs and the lorry is outstanding. Very nice scene. Chris

Thanks for the nice comments fellas.

It is 1944 and the British Army has returned to France, this time pushing the Germans back towards Germany....

Very nice seeing Mr Churchill tank out in the thick of it again Duke, K&C's version is a great model.

That's something I do all the time Duke, as long as the background is all set up and appropriate for the next diorama, including the terrain mat, than it saves time and effort and allows you to concentrate on the best bit, the figures and vehicles. Another great scene. Robin.

Those FOB series Tommies were amongst the first pieces I picked up for my collection over a decade ago and I think they still hold up well. wwiibuff you always make wonderful scenes thanks for being so generous in sharing your displays its much appreciated. :salute::

Thanks for the kind words men. The DD064 Tommies set is a favorite and even though older, still a great one.
