From what i can say it's a stylised rank insignia..i have the figure and on both sides of the collar there is this symbol -I- ...mind it's not an I ..it's a bar between 2 little squares. It's not like the symbol in the pic by the way.

From looking, at the shape, IMO it resembles the divisional badge of the Freiwillingen gebirgs division prinz eugen. Its a similar shape to their emblem. K&C do often do very strange collar tabs for rank and division on SS figures and, then some quite clear ones. Decent ones I can think of from the top of my head would be Bormann and poor ones are this one and, Heydrich so, I would not take too much attantion of it.

Since the insignia is the same on both sides of the collar, it is also likely it could be a Totenkopf emblem. It was not uncommon for this patch to be worn on both sides of the collar in the 3rd SS Division. -- Al

Totenkopf as seen from a distance is certainly an option. But given that the other guys in the series have SS runes on the right collar, I'd make this guy out as a colonel or above in the same unit

Guys i have the figure and i assure you is nothing real.Yes it could be a stylised Totenkopf emblem but don't rensemble at all to a real emblem (reference Osprey books on the Waffen SS).

Thats why I mentioned taking no notice of the markings as they are not based on anything real. Without seeming to be cheeky many are just swiggles on the collars whilst others are detailed. This figure is of nothing that we have mentioned. Paint it out black and add your own decals or paint on the insignia you want. Archer transfers although, for 1/35th scale are quite compatible, believe it or not or, do as I do and, buy transfer paper and scan them in and shrink down to the size you want.

Great idea Mitch, Think I'll try the transfer paper, When I bought this figure, I was like "what the hell is this insignia"
Glad I'm not the only one stumped. Years ago I bought 30 marching LAH rifleman for my curio, The first 12 or so
had correct decal type SS runes, The rest had terrible painted runes, with a horizontal line between each lightning
bolt. And I just checked my Heydrich...Your right, Terrible Brigadefuhrer insignia. But at least I know what that is
supposed to be. Figure WS114 is a swing and a miss. Anyhow..I'll let you know how the decals come out, when I get to it.
..Bill.

Still a pretty cool figure, think I will add it to the rest of my kursk counter offence dio. And since
some soviets are on their way cant wait to expand...

Nice dio Bastogne. FYI, there are still a few CS DAK Hanomags on the market which would work well with your Kursk theme. Some K&C figs might fit it it too
