Finally a fitting tribute to our wonderful Heroes (2 Viewers)

Not before time i would say..!! My Uncle was in 35 Sqdn Bomber Command..which later was one of the Sqdn"s that was chosen for Pathfinder duty"s, he was one of the lucky ones who lived to tell his story.. I still (proudly) display his winged horse patch in my Battle of Britain diorama
posted a couple of months ago. Now these Hero"s have a fitting Monument of their own....As i said. not before time!!.

Just finished watching the BBC2 coverage and, what a superb service and a stunningly fitting memorial to the aircrews of bomber command.

Thank for a great link Rob . The history of bomber command is a very interesting story how they turned the battle round in the end and the German night fighters became the hunted by 100 group Mosquitos and electronic aids

Yes indeed Neil, its a very interesting theater of the War.

Am hoping to be up in Green Park at dawn tomorrow so should be pretty quiet with few people around.
