Finally new Eigth Army stuff is out!!!!! (1 Viewer)

Why not buy it from your local dealer? It's not like your getting any deals.

If you're saying you can get it under retail, that's either not possible or the other dealers will scream bloody murder. One of Andy's guiding principles has been not to permit discounting as this is prejudicial to other dealers and could lead to massive attempts at discounting by other dealers. In addition, Kings X is owned by K & C so it's not likely you're getting a discount.

So, what are you saying, are you getting a discount or not?

Some dealers get around the set pricing by giving discount codes. I get stuff for 10% off from one dealer. It add up after a while.

If someone, somewhere is getting discount on K&C items, then surely HQ in HK ought to be advised so that the practice is nipped in the bud pronto tonto. Not a very fair situation for those of us paying the full price :(.

If the k&C stuff was cheaper I would be a lot more :D

It's not always possible to buy at the local dealer; in Perpignan, none; in France, I must order there: http://toysoldiers.fr/index.asp?ID=354&id_sous_menu=11&IDF=8 and I'll pay $127 + shipping... if I order, by exemple, at treefrogtreasures.com I pay only $89 ( http://www.treefrogtreasures.com/detail.aspx?ID=1098 ) because shipping is free over $250... and if I don't will order $250 I can order there , shipping is just +5% ... consequently I never buy this kind of figures in my country…

GC,
How about the K&C dealership in Paris?
Can't they help minimize the costs of our mutual hobby for you?

Cheers
H

Jazzaum I do get a discount when I did buy stuff there every once in a while. Andy will grant one of the employees there for 20% to the customers for of 20% off on the third figure. Maybe you should talk to Andy about that one.

When he returns from vacation I will talk to him and I'm sure he'll find this very interesting. Hopefully, you've not gotten anyone in trouble. Sometimes discretion is the better part of valor.

I dunno: from Perpignan to Paris 900km... the cost of many many figures!

In all manners, even by paying the shipping from U.S.A. to France, that will be to me less expensive than buy a K&C figure here

It's also not very fair when some of us pay well above re-tail for those "sold out" items::D.......

Andy has posted on this issue in the past. Dealers who publicly offer or advertise discounts can have their dealership terminated after some warnings. The best example of a terminated dealer is Michigan Toy Soldier, which offered a discount to any purchaser, even if they were a new customer and bought only one set. However, Andy has acknowledged that some dealers offer discounts to long time or repeat customers, and that it is practically impossible to prevent since the dealer is choosing to reduce its own profit margin after paying K&C for the product. Now, I am sure there will be some who protest this is unfair, but how will K&C prevent this type of activity? The collector who benefits from the discount will not report his/her dealer, and the dealer will not say anything if the penalty is losing its dealership.:)

AHHHH!?!?!?!? I think these 2 just did!
Ray:confused::confused::cool::eek:

Sure the folks that brought this up are admitting to getting a discount.

Very strange.

I think the problem here is that King & Country has a policy against these kinds of things and King & Country owns Kings X. I'm sure this was inadvertent but unfortunately because this "poster" made it public, someone at Kings X may get in trouble.

Ah.....not the best position to be in.

I bet I know who it is.......but I'm not telling,

Its not any of my dealers!

Hey guys, if you are getting some kind of benefit(s) from a dealer I'd suggest you keep it a bit more of a secret in future.
