Just finished my 1st WW2 bomber in 1/32. It's the largest plane I've built so far.
Now I have to find some room in my man cave to display it.

Looks great, I did not know that there is a 1/32 model of the He-111. Must be a huge bird.
Thanks for sharing.

I didn't know Monogram ever issued it. I know that Revell-Monogram issued a 1/48 He-111, in the 90s. It was later reissued as a ProModeler kit. But I never knew that a 1/32 scale Heinkel was issued under Monogram's label. I have to look it up.

Prost!

Re: Finished ProModeler kit 1/32 He-111

sorry my fault guys. It was a ProModeler kit, not monogram.

No sweat, yeah, that was developed by Revell/Germany in 2011. It was issued under both the Revell and the ProModeler label, at different times.

ProModeler was a brand created by Revell-Monogram after the merger. It included kits that were created by either Revell or Monogram, before the merger, and also from other manufacturers under license, such as from Hasegawa. The ProModeler P-51B in 1/48, for example, was Monogram's original P-51B kit, retooled with engraved panel lines. The ProModeler P-40E in 1/48 was derived from Revell's original P-40E kit, with some retooling.

As far as the He-111 as a subject is concerned, Revell-Monogram also developed a 1/48 kit, in 1994, and that one was also issued under the ProModeler label a year after that. Confusing, isn't it? Can't tell the players without a scorecard!

Prost!

Looks like it doesn't matter who made it anymore as it's no longer available ^&grin
I still have another kit (Revell) in my stack. I might build it next year in camo scheme.

I built both Monogram and Revell kits when I was a kid, and generally, Monogram's models were better. Revell had more variety in its catalog, but Monogram's models were better. When they brought out the multi-engine airplane kits, they were the greatest thing I'd ever seen. Revell's execs must have thought so, too, because they used Monogram's B-17G as the basis for their B-17F. When the kit was released, Monogram's execs examined it, and found that the parts were just that much smaller, as you'd expect if their model was used to make the masters for the molds. They sent a letter to Revell to let them know and to say they wouldn't sue, but not to let it happen ever again.

I loved Monogram's 1/32 armor kits, too. And Shep Paine's dioramas using those kits, and the airplane kits.

So yes, it does matter ;)

Plus, I like to know as much about a kit and the company that makes it, as I do about toy soldiers and who made them.

I look forward to seeing your next build of this one!

Prost!

Thanks friends.

I plan to build the Revell kit next year in BoB scheme

Look forward to that mate and if you ever want to re-home it drop me a PM.

cnq, your 1/32 HE-111 looks amazing! Neat choice in painting it in the desert scheme too. I like the way your weathering and even paint fading effect came out 😎

Looks as good, or better, than any professionally, made model I've seen. Chris
