It's slow going in the scoring department but as a concept it all seems to be working out well.

Could play cricket here mate till 7pm+ at night here without lights, but I'm enjoying it.

The pink ball is certainly easier to see. I'm not sure whether it's the ball or the pitch that is causing the low scores though? I went out for an hour yesterday and missed the best hour of the game - unless you are a New Zealander.... The Lyon decision was a shambles and will probably decide the match. 187 to win. That SHOULD be straightforward....

The 'bounce of the ball' just hasn't gone NZs way this game but Australia is 3 down now. I wonder??? The deciding phase will be under the lights. Hmmmm....

Another quick wicket and we are gone!

Sean Marsh out - six down. Arhhh NZ! They never give up!

What a great game! The concept works. NZ are better than they looked in the first two games and Australia not as good. The pink ball is fine and as batsmen get used to it and batting at night, the best of them will do alright and games will go closer to the distance.

New Zealand were very competitive and probably would've won easily if Lyon hadn't been reprieved. They started the series so slow though. Their lead-up was a mess and why they agreed to the schedule put together by Cricket Australia, I have no idea. Indeed, with so many world teams being pretty weak, it was a mistake not to allow the New Zealanders to be as competitive as they could be. Perhaps it was worry the Aussie team mightn't cope! Really though, two first class games at Test venues is a minimum as prep and another probably between two of the tests. It's a crazy, crowded schedule we have these days....
