FoV make some pretty nice guns and fighting vehicles. All are value for money. However I do not like their figurines. Too much "the plastic look" they have. But that is not an obstacle, they are easily being replaced by other 1/32 figurines.

I agree with you. The figurines have too much of the plastic look. Would you know any better 1/32 figurines that I can get to replace the FOV gun crews ?

hey,
I replace them by 1/35 Hornet or Wolf or Platoon or Alpine figures. The catch here of course is that you still have to paint them yourself.Just to camouflage the difference in size between the 1/32 vehicle or gun and the 1/35 figurine, I put the FoV vehicle or gun always a bit lower than the figurines.( Have a look in my "albums" and you will see what I am talking about )
Guy:)

Thanks for the suggestions. I would rather buy the finished pieces than painting my own toys as I don't have the talent & patience to do it :) .
I'll stick with the plastic figurines for now :p

Guy,

Just looked at your albums. They are pieces of art. I like them a lot.

cnq, I agree this is a great piece. I have one as well and really like it. Detailing on the gun itself is superb.

I find Oryan 1/32 figures work well with FOV armour

Just picked up one of these used on Ebay for a good price, sans figures. Will be using in a North Africa Campaign dio I'm planning.

What did you use for your dio base? Is that formica painted or sprinkled with that glue/granular grass mixture? Very nice!

Cordially,

cnq, you ought to think about getting the halftrack to go with it as well.

I just used a wooden board and painted with grass green, and sprinkled with sand & grass mixture.

wwibuff,

Your setting is very nice as well. Yes I was considering about the half track but did not like the plastic figures so I passed it. I'm thinking about getting the Figarti 88mm gun crew figures ( just the crew, no gun as it's expensive), and use them with FOV Flak 88mm. Hopefully Figarti will release it soon.

I really like the FoV figures/vehicles and have only recently discovered them. However, I am having a hard time getting my hands on the pieces that I really want.

I was lucky swapped a load of K&C item for complete set of WW2 FOV armour

If its new items you are looking for check this website, i have an account with this company and they have quite a bit of Fov.in stock. www.javis.co.uk look under the die-cast section > forces of valour in the product categories

Maybe if you list what FoV pieces you're looking for, some of us who knows where to get them can help.

Try Tesotrs Dulcote.

Duke...

Stunning dio with the prime mover and 88mm
Mitch

That is a great looking 88 and makes a fine diorama along with the halftrack.
I think that KV's idea with Testors dullcote is a good idea to get the shiny plastic look off the figures.
Thanks for the pictures.
