First Legion dispatch (1 Viewer)

I haven't seen the newsletter yet. Any mention of Afrika Korps?

Rick

No there wasn't. Only WW2 was for the Stalingrad range, with some new figures (previously posted pic), winter Panzer and the Tractor Factory dio piece.

Actually, there was a small mention of Afrika corps, though most seemed to miss it. We said something to effect of lots of new stuff coming both "in the rubble and in the sand."

So, yes, Afrika stuff is coming!

Hi Rick ,
Matt had this to say about WWII releases
" Oh, and just so the WWII folks don’t feel slighted, here is a sneak peek on just a tiny taste of what is coming on the Eastern Front! A stunning MG34 Tripod team and two lovely German artillerists in greatcoats. Hmm…observer team…artillerists…? Enjoy! Lots more WWII coming both in the rubble and in the sand……………."

Notice his the last word SAND ..I think the fans of the Afrika Korps will soon also have some new things coming ;) All the best Gebhard

As I read the hint regarding the german artillerists in the NEWSLETTER (lol) a chill went down my spine-and my checkbook ran for cover. Whatever piece that's in the works, it's going to be beauty !

I'm with ya Mike ;) I can't wait to see what Mr Matt has up his sleeve  Just hope my CC can handle the three front war I'm currently fighting (Naps, WWII, Crusaders). I know at some point down the road I will have to slow down on either the CRU or WWII ranges but with so many Great items coming out its just a decision I'm not willing to make at the moment :) . All the best Gebhard

Matt, Great Releases....Excellent Work... Will the Stalingrad MG team be available for pre-order in Nov or Dec.....

I stand corrected. I took Rick's question too literal!

Looking forward to the new releases as well, and hoping to see some artillery to go with those great coats, as we can only wonder what could it be possibly???Sammy

That's always the 'eternal struggle in this hobby isn't it Gebhard-how do we split up our hobby budget amongst all our interests ?
I only collect Crusades and WWII-and even then I limit it to Winter/Battle of the Bulge figures, so I can only imagine how tough it is including Naps as well...though I sure been tempted....:p

I know this is a pipe dream, but would love to see a prime mover offered as an addition to whatever artillery piece is in the works :D

Its tough enough with the Naps alone but tough choices are character building or so I'm told.:p;)

Hi Mike,

you're thinking the same thing I'm thinking:) a prime mover with troops with or without pulling a towed piece would be sweet!!!! as I look over the vehicles/armour released this year you know next year is only gonna be better, and were only into the second full year of WWII of Stalingrad, wonderful things are planned for both sides of Stalingrad I'm sure...Sammy

True that ! :D
As I tell my wife, it's only money-and then I duck....

I just use my Lufthansa Miles and more CC ;) with so many great releases this past year we were able to use the First Legion dollars spent converted to miles points together with our FF miles and fly from Washington Dulles to Frankfurt for just taxes $234.00 US round trip . :D When she can also benefit from my Hobby we are both happy :) . All the Best Gebhard

I like the way you think mate. I may have to try that.;):D

Every First Legion figure cost me 50% more than the current list price.

For every 1000$ I spend on a FL order, I always buy my wife *another* luxury item like a leather bag or jewelry piece that will cost me around 500$ ...

It's tough to be a collector these days :)

Alex

I have heard of more than one collector following Alex's approach. It's important to keep your wife happy :)

I posted on another thread sometime ago, I biggest fear about my wife is, if something happens to me, that she will sell my figures for what I told her that I paid for them!
