Everybody is entitled to their own opinion but my view is that JJD Macedonians are superior to FL's. I picked up all the FL figures as part of the big sale and was a little disappointed by their quality. However I do think the Companion Cavalry made by FL are superb.

Well, i don't know much about JJD figures, but i will say that our Macedonian Phalanx were certainly not the best representation of FL figures. Remember, they were made around 14 years ago. We've gotten a lot better since then! ;-) I don't particularly care for the sculpting of those figures nor are they painted very well compared to pretty much everything else we make.

Hi Matt, I am gradually collecting the Assyrians, Late Romans and Pavia French cavalry from TF. They are great additions to my collection great quality. It's only been the Macedonian phalanx and the early release mounted Samurai that fell below your normally high standards. Keep up the good work. Gary

Oh and the Polish Winged Hussars and retreat from Moscow sledges are prize possessions.

Before anyone gets upset, we are talking about very high standards from FL.
Keep up the good work. Some sets have their flaws, but overall your releases are fantastic.

Yeah, i think we discussed the Mac Phalanx. Not our best for sure, but pretty cool nonetheless. Moscow Sledges are among my favorites. Produced while we were at the peak of our power. ;-)
