I am very impressed by the First Legion figures, particularly the new Fallschirmjagers.

Unfortunateley, in the UK they are somewhat expensive.

Do any UK members know of a good source at a reasonable price, or maybe a cost effective way of importing them?

Super figures are n't they? A few years ago I ordered a number of FL's Stalingrad range of Germans and Soviets direct from FL in the US. A week or so later I received a note from Her Majesty's Revenue and Customs requiring payment of duty before the package could be released to me. With having to pay duty thhe savings involved were just a couple of pence! Some years ago ordering from the US you could get lucky and not pay duty. Those days have long gone.

Someone once told me it was worth checking out dealers on the continent who might be able to offer cheaper prices than those in the UK, however I've never given this suggestion a try.

I get my FL from Europe and from the US and they are considerably cheaper. No import charges from Europe and, its a roulette from the states. You pays your money and takes your chances as they say!.
