I understand you for shipping charges. What I do is simple : I buy 1000$ worth of figures at a time (if not more). Shipping to NY state is 25$ on average. Quite honest.

I also only make one purchase ever month from First legion , I spend the rest of the month enjoying what I already have and trying to decide what to buy next . The what to buy next part is the only trouble I am having with First Legion . I always start with more Napoleonics of course then add something from Stalingrad or a few Crusaders . With Mr Matt's not so subtle hint on the updated Workbench of "We may even unveil a new range or two in the not too distant future" it looks to me like the decision making process is gonna get allot harder for me best regards Gebhard

Thank you Gebhard, thats very kind of you. Sooner or later I'm sure I will join the FL buyers brigade, have been really tempted already by both the ACW and the Crusaders, truly great figures.

The "Free" Shipping you are talking about is "NOT FREE"....Don't be naive ......It is built into the price....Those are the facts.....Also there are minimal dollar purchases that must be satisfied to qualify for free ship or a coupon discounts from dealers or manufacturers.....I have not found it not difficult at all to make purchases thru the FL website......no difference in method of ordering and great service....If a dealer network results in nothing more then higher prices for products passed onto consumers; then I'm glad that FL is direct buy...Lastly the FL product lines are simply "fantastic".....I would rather "buy quality" even if it means buying somewhat less.....First Legion is more pricey....But is the BETTER BUY for the money in my book....Simply the BEST toy soldiers out there......www.firstlegionltd.com

I am not debating the higher quality, that First legion offers. Just to end this debate, if given the choice of buying First legion from a place, that offers free shipping that Treefrog, and Sierra toy soldier offers. Or strickly from the Manufacturer that charges shipping for the same price of $50 to $55. which one will you get everything from??

Brad, proceed at your own risk. I picked up a bunch of AWI and was hooked. You know I had no interest in Naps but now I'm consumed with them, even to the point of buying some retired figures overseas and not caring about the price or shipping charges. Good luck my friend and welcome to the dark side... but I'm still waiting for "The Legions"

I just phoned him and he is coming over this Saturday. He said he will bring the First Legion soldiers to show me so I will take photos .I am as keen as a kid to touch and look closely at these figures. I have seen some Naps up close but as I don't collect these I really didn't take much notice. Simmo.

Well the guy arrived on Saturday and showed me his figures of WW2 First Legion. I was not impressed at all! This guy came over not with First Legion but Frontline figures. Also he had some Britains figures he wanted to swap with me for what he wanted to buy off me. Very disappointed is not the way to describe this experience. He did spend $220 at my house . So back to square one and still waiting to see First Legion First hand. Simmo.

I ordered four of the ACW yesterday and just received notification that they have been shipped so I'm eagerly looking forward to getting them.
