This was the first time First Legion figures have been displayed at the Westcoaster thanks to Matt of Hobby Bunker. He brought a huge variety of FL along with him. My favorites are the Romans, and I picked up several. I was really blown away by the Renaissance figures....they are really spectacular. I enjoyed studying and appreciating all of the ranges right there in front of me. It was quite a lay out! Several sets really jumped out at me, like the Russian Stalingrad machine gun team. The delicate painting of the skin tones is absolutely exquisite.

There appears to be a time traveling Roman who found his way into this era!

Great to see some of the First Legion lines now showing up at different venues, with multiple stores carrying First Legion and more people getting to see them in the flesh it's a win-win situation for First Legion, thanks again for posting some great pics, I really wanted to go this year but the tax man comes first:( hopefully Chicago...Sammy

Thanks for posting these pics. It is always nice to see some of FL's releases up close, especially the Renaissance figures, which don't get as much coverage as the Romans or Stalingrad.

Hi Joe,
thank you very much for posting these pics and the ones in all the other mfrs. sections.
Your fine coverage of the Westcoaster is much appreciated {bravo}}

Simply Superb looking figures{bravo}}{bravo}}.....The ultimate in TS Realism....First Legion Figures......RULE^&grin

Nice to see some FL figures in the "flesh" as opposed to the marketing pics. They sure could pass for Aeroart and the like. Generally the ancient/colourful era's look best with this type of product however what makes FL unique is how great they make the WWII figures look whose uniforms are rather drab. Definitely excited about the Samurai and will be adding some to my collection. ^&cool

Very True FL WWII figures are very nicely done{bravo}}....A great product very "realistic".....now all we need is WWII Russians figures relieving themselves on the battlefield{eek3}....Maybe Matt will consider doing some "yellow snow"^&grin^&grin .........but somehow I doubt it.:wink2:

You are very welcome Sammy, Noah, Kogu :smile2:, Simmo, CFM and Jeff. It really was a blast to see most of the FL ranges spread out before me on a table. I've been wanting to view them all for so long now, and BAM!! There they all were right in front of me....it was kinda surreal almost and certainly a lot of fun! As I mentioned prior I was really blown away by the Landsknechts. They are brilliant, IMHO.

No word on the four new ranges to announced this year, but it's certainly something to look forward to. Glad you guys enjoyed the pics. Thank you, Joe

Hi Joe ,

Hi Gebhard,

You are very welcome, and thank you. I was so excited to have all of those wonderful FL creations right there in front of me that somehow I neglected to get a pic of Buford's cavalry! I'd really like to pick up some of those outstanding figures. But my FL show purchases were all Romans. I'm in economic recovery mode from the show now, so Buford's men will have to wait (hopefully they will still be around), because my next FL purchase will definitely be the Roman opposition. I'm really excited about those Germanic tribesmen!
I'm glad you enjoyed the pics and thanks again.:smile2: Joe

Hi Joe ,
I'm in abit of economic recovery mode myself :redface2: it was a big weekend the GREAT Maryland Arms Collectors Association's show was in town http://baltimoreshow.com/photo_gallery.htm they have been holding it since 1955 {bravo}}. Its well worth a look if your ever in the area , its one of the biggest shows in the country which draws collectors and dealers from around the globe . Also met some frends in Gettsyburg on Sunday took time to look in on the two new First Legion dealers in town . Was very cool to see all the ACW figures in the flesh , I'd say those Confederate Figures are the best I have ever seen just amazing ..... Thanks again Gebhard

Thanks for the link Gebhard. That looks like one HUGE show....looks like an absolute blast! I bet you came away with some fine momentos. That's great that you have FL dealers in town. I agree, the ACW figures are exceptional. I hope to begin collecting them before they start disappearing. But I'm still working on chipping away at the Romans, and the German Tribes pre-order is probably coming soon, which we're anxiously awaiting, I'm sure! I have hopes that the Glory of Rome line does so well that it sticks around for a long, long time and develops in all different directions. Could you imagine FL doing Celts or Picts? Thanks again, Joe
