I am a relatively new collector, but I am finding myself enjoying it considerably. I recently purchased my first Figarti pieces “Highlanders Ready” & “Highlanders Advancing” and am very happy with the style of these guys.

The key piece missing for me and the Highlanders was the “They Got Wittmann” Firefly. Released a few months before I even started collecting, it appears this extremely popular piece was snapped up pretty quickly. Imagine my joy, when after considerable hunting I have managed to grab one from a dealer and it is inbound to join the Highlanders as we speak. The “hunt” on this was fantastic and I am surprised just how much I enjoy this aspect of the hobby.

I have started collecting at a time when there is a great deal of choice in the hobby. I am certainly not brand focused but I am very conscious of the interoperability of manufacturing styles. I find myself more and more drawn to the Figarti product and thank the Figarti team for their talent. A question; I assume we will see more Americans in North Africa and DAK pieces? It would also be great to see more Brits, American or German infantry in the Summer 44 theme.

This is my first post on the Figarti Thread and I assume that it won’t be my last as I suspect I will see more of their product in my study sometime soon.

Im with you mate the more figarti make the more i want to buy along with Tomm Gunn and K+C they all go well together but figarti have the edge in vehicles IMO.

Hear you load and clear mate, there are some fantastic choices out there, which I am finding are relatively complementary to each other. Looking forward to the arrival of the Firefly, as it will be my first Figarti vehicle. Just makes you wonder where it will all be in few short years?

I certainly understand your feelings about the "thrill of the hunt" for retired and difficult to find pieces, it makes the whole hobby more fun.

I have long been a supporter of Figarti. I think they make the best armored vehicles in the hobby, and their figures have improved by leaps and bounds. Have you seen the "shock and awe" pieces they unveil at each year's OTSN Chicago Show? So far they have made a German "E-Boat", a German "Leopold" Railroad Gun and a Landing Ship Tank, each of which, produced in 1:30 scale, is more than 3 feet long.

Between King & Country, Figarti, Britains, Honour Bound, and John Jenkins Designs, as you pointed out, there has never been more choice in the hobby.

congrats on your success. The Firefly iirc was the second fastest selling piece from Figarti. The winter 88 was gone in a few days, and the Firefly maybe lasted a week. I really like the Brit infantry as well.

I can only wonder what a winter 88 is going to sell for when one appears on auction.

I haven’t seen the”shock and awe” pieces in person, and I’m sure the photos barely do them justice; they must be a sight to behold. I would like to get myself off to the Chicago or London show one day, it would be like being a kid in a candy shop, I would assume I would be alone with that feeling and would find myself in good company. Mate, I had been trolling through EBay for ages in the vain attempt that one would be on offer. Due to their popularity, I assume they still have the status of “Prized Possession”; it will certainly be interesting to see what some of the more popular pieces go for. Alby

Now, I have ten( both British and American Priest, The Fording sherman, The M-16 halftrack, The halftrack, the tropical 88 And mover, The hedgerow cutter, The Sherman Bulldozer, And of course the Firefly) . and wanting more. and I am now a solid Figarti fan.

Figarti's Firefly is a superb model,one of my very favourites.They are making some cracking AFVs and keep getting better.As Waye said I think with Figarti,K&C,TGM we are really spoiled for both figures and AFVs right now.It will be good to compare Fireflies when K&C release their version this summer,I think we will have two great versions for our collections.

Man do I have dome catching up to do! I like the British Priest it is growing on me, I haven’t dabbled into the Nth African arena as yet … feeling pretty tempted though ... & the Winter Ground Stuka looks awesome. Oh the dilemma of it all!

I can thoroughly recommend the M7 Priest,I got the Texas special version and it really is very good,I know its not Normandy version but mine is going to be serving there.The Brit version is also very nice,great weathering on it.

I must concur with the accolades directed at Figarti for their armor. I have found them to be fantastically well done and unequivocally count them among the best AFVs on the market. Even more impressive, they continue to improve with every release - they are not content to rest on their laurels to say the least.

Another note regarding Figarti - the customer service is top notch. I recently received a replacement hatch for the Winter Panzer IV I had been working with the dealer to receive for several months to no avail and one PM to Rick resolved the issue inside of a month - stellar.

While I know they are unpopular with limited segments of collectors you would likely enjoy checking out First Legion products as well. Like Figarti, you pay a bit more than some of the others for their vehicles (figures included in FL's case) but you won't be disappointed in the level of detail. My collection includes everything from Corgi 1/50 on up to Aeroart and love them all for different reasons - variety is the spice of life, after all.

Good luck hunting down your Winter 88 and Prime Mover but you won't find mine on Ebay any time soon.

Thanks for the recommendations, the good thing about being the General of your own army, you can force assign as you see fit. I haven’t dabbled into Nth Africa as yet, and you are right you can get away with re-deploying the Texas Special to France; it’s a very versatile piece. Alby
