Mike (mestell),
I am seriously looking forward to the photos of your first FL AWI figures along the great Ken Osen scenics you have.

They will look great I'm sure.

I believe you are right, I am definately in trouble. Now I am starting to hope/wish that this will not be the end to FL's 5th Foot offerings. Would like to see the addition of a junior grenadier company officer, perhaps a corporal figure, more marching or marching attack poses with different head/body poses. From what I understand, the Light Infantry companies were more heavily involved (skirmish wise) at Conord, ie at the North Bridge, than the Grenadier companys were, so now I am thinking it would be great to have 5th Foot Left Flank company (light infantry) figures to select from. I am even starting to select which H&A dio base I want to use first to photograph my new acquisitions when they arrive to the point that I am even thinking of a scenario story line to go with the photos. Awe yes, I think I am in trouble . . . .

Mike,
Your hope/wish that this will not be the end to FL's 5th Foot offerings may not be in vain . Matt and First legion have proven to us Napoleonic collectors time and time again over the years that they listen to our request and suggestions . Over the years do to comments and polite request from long time FL supporters like Bill and the Kings Man just to name a few we have seen the French Line Infantry 1807-1813 expanded to a total of 38 figures to form a more pleasing line ( less need for duplicates ) The British Guard Grenadier release has been expanded with the addition on two more figures to form a more perfect square and the 92nd Gordon Highlander Regiment of Foot which is currently 13 figures is about to be expanded by the release of another 14 or so figures to form a true four rank formation . I too am a serious collector of original items and former historical re-enactor which is one of the reasons i have been drawn to collecting First Legion . IMO you will not find a more better researched and produced product on the market .

I'm really looking forward to seeing your photo's using your Hudson & Allen dio base they do fantastic work, several FL collectors have used their products to great effect . Mr Ken posted some photo's a couple of weeks back which looked excellent . I think you will really enjoy your purchase and look forward to your future contributions .. Happy collecting Gebhard :)

Well I think I have my first photo stage set for my 5th Regient of Foot recruits when they arrive - just 4 more days until showtime. I wish my budget would allow for more than just five figures - this stage is capable of displaying many more . . . Here's a sneak preview . . . .

APRIL 15, 1775 - PRELUDE

A picturesque scene - a road winding its way over hills and through wooded country side connecting the villages of Lexington and Conord. Its hard to imagine that in just four days hence, this stretch of nature's wonder will be forever known as the "Bloody Angle"

All diorama bases, scenics, and the backdrop used were produced by Hudson & Allen (Ken and Ericka Osen)

Your pics are going to look great! That scenic is really well done, just like you would expect from Hudson & Allen. They do such excellent work.

Whoa, Mike. That is a beautiful scene. Have you been keeping this one hidden away since Fall? I am pretty sure I have not seen this one before.

Thanks Noah. I actually used 11 different H&A scenic pieces to create this stage, 2 of which were diorama bases (one with a handpainted backdrop by Ken himself). The other 9 pieces are various scenic (foliage) pieces and a small mini-dio (fence). I have a lot of fun and get great results by mixing and matching the different H&A elements together. This particular set up is 22 inches deep and about 40 inches long.

Thanks MD - I believe you have seen these H&A items before, just in different arrangements and shot at different angles. I went all out on this one and I am really pleased with the results. See my response to Noah above.

That is quite simply a masterpiece !!! Can't wait to see it populated.

Thanks so much Scott. I am excited about working with H&A scenics with FL figures.

I would add my congratulations for your FL purchase Mike and my appreciation for your display which will indeed look fantastic with those figures. As the last protector of the grail said in The Last Crusade, "you choose wisely".^&cool :salute::

By chance, can you identify which specific H&A scenic pieces are involved; I think I feel a need for some of those?

Correcting typo - Sorry Ken and Ericka I know the mini dio is yours, why I typed ONTC is beyond me. Meant to type OTSN
