I also have some mis-givings about the yellow-sand helmut colors for Normandy..???....The MG loader helmut looks right.

Could someone who is well versed on FJ's address the uniform color of these guys, I am having trouble with the yellow. The uniform of MG Loader is the only one I am familiar with.

Are they out yet?

I don't think so....That is why I want some clarification before I would buy them. I am not familiar with the sand colors to that extent on the Western Front. I doubt that FL would not do it right, but I would like some definitive info before I get them. Alex

Alex:

Thanks for the update and insight.

Are you referring to the helmets or the uniforms? The jump smocks on all the figures and cloth helmet cover of the MG loader look really good to me. As noted earlier the yellow paint on the helmets and ammo box look too amber to me, more along the lines of the tropical camo used in Africa.

As for camo helmets in general in Normandy the practice was quite common. Individuals would use available paint, quite often the three color vehicle paints dunkelgelb, brown, green.

Yea Frank I guess it is the helmets that are bothering me.

More concerned at the ammo belt being corrected on the MG gunner myself than camo colour on the hats and, the too bright MG ammo box.

Here is where a forum can shine. I thought I knew a lot about the early Western Front and my impression of FJ's was always the likeness of the MG loader. Thomas Gunn did the FJ's with some yellow, which took me back a bit also. So through your efforts I am now better educated and can move forward with my purchases.

Thanks
Alex
