I really like the English archers from FL and wanted to have multiples but not identical ones. So I spoke to Dave at TMT and agreed that he would re-paint one. I think as you can see he has done a great job with the sandy coloured smock. He is doing a further one for me that I will collect in December where the archer has a blue smock.

So I have three different archers and soon to be 4 and then who knows ...

I also wanted to have a Mamluk who has been shot by the archers; Dave took the spare arrow that is in the base of the English archer and put them in the Mamluk’s chest. I really like what he has done.

Here I have put them both together

Awsome, very nice pic. FL Crusades are on my list I am glad Tree Frog will be stocking FL, can't wait{sm3}

That is some pretty cool custom work. You should be very pleased adding that to your collection.

As I said before, I wanted multiple archers but with different smocks. Here is the latest one in blue and I think the pictures show what a great job Dave at TMT does.

Hopefully in 2012 they will have some French knights at Agincourt to fight :smile2:

Hi Gazz,
He did an excellent job {bravo}} , I'm not really crazy for the bow string though just don't fit IMO but i like the idea maybe its the color or the thinkness . Great collection ya got going there . Thanks for sharing Gebhard

The bow strings is something I did not like; in fact the red one I had David at TMT change because I did not like it. I wanted the bow string taunt

However, as David said, once the arrow is released the string would go less taunt.

I think though that I am with you; I prefer the red one and may well get Dave at TMT to work his magic yet again

That said, I think this range is great and am looking forward to getting some more mounted Crusaders and I understand that there are more in the pieline.

After all, those Crusaders swords are 'cutting edge' :D:D:D

Superb paint job from David-that man is good-so much so that I commissioned him at the London show to build for me 1/30 scale models of the Trostle farm and a hybrid 19th century ACW house.

Excellent figures by the way.

Great paint job and a great idea to allow for 'more' archers from the same figure.
