Fleet Exercise, Pacific Ocean, June 1940 (2 Viewers)

Along with the UK Reb Chris I didn't get to see the results of your Naval Diorama until a short while ago. What a nice way to enjoy my morning coffee viewing it. Thanks for create and sharing it with us...........Joe{bravo}}{bravo}}{bravo}}

Many thanks for the comments guys. We're working on a "special" follow on project for all the navy fans. :wink2:

Bob's comment regarding the straits of Gibraltar reminded me of the time I rode the battleship Iowa thru the Panama Canal. Took about 12 hrs. Her beam was so wide she scraped the side of the lock as the water was lowered causing large pieces of concrete to go flying thru the air. {eek3} Chris

Great diorama, Chris. Don't know how I missed this thread, excepting that it was VERY early in my time here. I've been looking at a pre-war, 1/350 Saratoga made by Trumpeter. Probably won't bite until I've got a plan to house it. Nothing's sadder than a nice model covered with dust!:eek:
