Hi Guys,

It’s hard to imagine the Vietnam War without helicopters.
They totally revolutionized that conflict, lifting in troops, supplies, materials, equipment and even some vehicles.

They conducted aerial reconnaissance, command and control, medical evacuation, artillery spotting and fire support.

One particular helicopter performed many of these tasks and created one of the most iconic symbols of the war... The Bell UH-1 ‘Iroquois’ better known as “The Huey”.

First coming into service in 1959 the “Huey” was the workhorse of U.S. Army aviation throughout America’s involvement in Vietnam.

Earlier this year we brought out a batch of our hand-carved, hand-painted, wooden ‘HUEYS’ in Marine Corps markings which sold out.

Now, we’re presenting a few more in additional markings:
A US Army ‘Medevac’ Huey
A ‘Royal Australian Air Force’ Huey and some more ‘USMCHueys.
Here’s a few photos for the weekend...

All the best and happy flying!
Andy

If it’s made of wood, start with four figures.

TGM,s aren't that expensive so why would Andy,s ????
They look exceptional if my Dad was alive I would get one for him he spent alot of time in and out of these.

Wayne, you’d have to ask Andy that but companies price things differently so there’s probably no one answer.

Andy,

in Melbourne earlier this year we saw the lager HUEY,

and I thought the RAAF version would be that one,
not the smaller chopper,
still any Huey is better that no Huey :)

Wayne, my guess is that Andy isn’t going to answer the question because to do so would involve disclosing pricing strategies and that’s not something companies do, in any business.

But if you don't know how much it costs how can a customer buy it hence what is the point of his post ??

Great looking Chopper Howard, you'll soon need a bigger table {eek3} I was lucky to grab one of the last Collectors Showcase Hueys (Hog Version) not long ago, it's missing some bits but I'm very happy with it.

The Huey certainly enhances your superb display Howard. :salute::

Merry Christmas.

Steve

A fantastic display of men and kit. The Australian, and perhaps soon to be seen New Zealand, Vietnam range is superb. It is well outside the time range that I collect/paint but can feel temptation building.
Seeing this array of models and ideas for layouts is just great.
Have a Great Chritmas and New Year.
Douglas
