I am thinking of doing a (somber) diorama with a figarti boxcar and the FOB civilians with some German figures as well, as a holocaust scene. Scale wise, how will the K&C figures interact with the boxcar?

I have seen some remarkable dioramas covering this subject matter. Two friends of mine have produced award winning dio's where they have made stunning scenes and, have actually painted all the German figures and scenery grey and had a civilian girl painted in normal colour.

I have attached a couple of pics of a rail car with a similar figure set from which you can get from K&C. a bit of work could easily sort the set for the setting you inquire. The clothing and luggage could easily be made from putty/milliput or similar and, would work.

Obviously, not everyone's cup-of -tea but, there is an increase in this subject matter at shows and model clubs and they are met with interest and without controversy.

Somber wise...it would be very. Scale wise they would work fine

Harvey...

Not my work they were sent to me from the maker. I believe they are trumpeter rail cars and, not sure who the figure sets were from. I recall mention of scratch built. Stunning dio though and, thought it would help in the original question

This very moving diorama is very well known amongst serious dioramists.

It was built in 2011 by the well known US dioramist Rick Lawler which he titled "The Burden of Sorrow" It has been featured many times in any number of Model Magazines.

The boxcar is a plastic 1/35 scale German G10 covered wagon manufactured by LZ Models. The contact for this company if I remember correctly is Jacub Zachoval-County Clare, Ireland......I think..but you should find the company on line.
