Fort John Ford (2 Viewers)

Hi Katana,
Thanks a lot, did that and yes he is very impressive....the work spans from the wild west all the way to the Cuban invasion with Roosevelt and all...
The pictures really add action! He also has some drawings from other armies such as the Mexican and French....But by far the ones of the US Cavalry are the best. The sculptures have just the same fame!
Since we were talking about Buffalo Soldiers....here are some I found....
Thanks for the tips.
Cheers
Luiz

Luiz; Google Frederic Remington and select images. A number of his paintings of US Cavalry will be displayed. I think you will find them of interest.

Hi Ronald,
As promised, a few answers to your questions...

1. Why no cartridge boxes on the back of the belts of KX002 and KX009..?
A . Back in the day both of these figures were originally part of a general KingsX Club Figure series that was based on The Old West and included all kinds of Western figures such as famous Lawmen [Wild Bill Hickock, Wyatt Earp and Pat Garrett] as well as soldiers, outlaws and even Buffalo Bill and Annie Oakley!

The 'John Ford Cavalry' series did not begin till much later...Hence no carbine cartridge boxes at the rear of their pistol belts for these much earlier releases.

2. Why no cartridge box on KX0028..?
A. No excuses...We simply forgot!!! Next time we produce another 'production run' of this particular figure it will be amended accordingly.
Perhaps, just like a stamp or a banknote with a flaw, that will make these first edition cavalry troopers more collectable and even more valuable!!! Hope this explains...
Best wishes and happy collecting! Andy.

Hi Ronald,
Thanks for your kind words...If you are looking for more 'classic' U.S. Cavalry and Apaches...Look no further than the latest 'Dispatches!!!

All the best and happy collecting, Andy.

i notice that all the classic us cavalry figures have their white suspenders on their back like a X.but in many movies they have their white suspenders also like a Y on their back.maybe in the future some new us cavalry figures with their white suspenders like a Y on their back?best ronald.

Hi Ronald, I agree cavalry movies show both 'X' and 'Y' strapped braces (suspenders)...keep watching for more! Re the Fort...At present Gordon's workload and order book is full and overflowing so unlikely he could take on board any additional commissions...Even if both of us could...with apologies and best wishes, Andy.

hi andy.no problem for the western fort.are there really comming more us cavalry soldiers in the future?i mean with the classic john ford uniforms, and no black belt around their shoulders.{sm3}{sm3}{sm3}best ronald.

There are some more U.S.Cavalry figures 'in the works' that should work well with 'John Ford Cavalry'...but a few more months down the line.

Best wishes and happy collecting! Andy.
