Forthcoming and first dispatches of 2012! (1 Viewer)

We'd better ask Terry why the Canadians let him escape?!:wink2: Epic adventure he had though, a sad end to his life, enemy or no enemy not nice going that way.

Rob

They sent him back to improve the conditions of POW camps in Germany - which he did. And it resulted in a vital resistance base used by the Allies inside the infamous Stalag 13.

Terry

Thanks Rob. Also some surrendering allied pilots with German captors could work.plain clothed Gestapo interrogating.

Yes that would also be good, these sort of sets are working very nicely in the FOB/RAF ranges so I don't see why they would not work on the German side too.

With my War budget spread across D day,RAF,Arnhem,Bulge and North Africa I don't think I will be able to stretch to the Russian front as well, but I am looking forward to see where K&C go with this, and I know many collectors can't wait for it..you got to love this hobby:)

I don't think any escaped from this country did they, he was the only one to get away and from Canadian territory.

I don't know if any German prisoners got off the island, but you should read about the mass escape from the Island Farm POW Camp 198 near Bridgend in South Wales. It was in March 1945 and prompted Parliament to put forward a policy on guarding prisoners. Unfortunately the war in Europe ended several weeks later before the policy could be implemented. :D

Yes, many escaped from camps and were recaptured or shot, but none got back to fight for Germany again from this country:wink2::D:D

After 5 years of captivity, time spent learning the English language fluently to evade recapture, and they end up in Birmingham where no-one could understand a word they were saying. "Y'olright!" :D

And there was you hoping James would buy you one in the bar in March!

Anyone suspect what may be retired on tuesday? I still need the US Landing craft and really don't want it to go just yet.

DON'T SAY ARNHEM RON!^&grin:wink2:

Rob

A Mickey Mouse Priest would be nice

This would be nice mate but I doubt it as Andy has already made a British one for the desert and an American d-day one, but give the fact that there has been 3 versions of the ambulance, 3 versions of the tilly, and 4 versions of the morris truck, there may be a slight possibility!:wink2:

Hoping to see the morris truck and dingo carrier and maybe some guards division infantry in various poses!^&grin

I wouldn't expect a Mickey Mouse Priest. The ones K&C did multiple camo variatins on were the 250 series and they were small vehicles.

Terry

Instead of the "Mickey Mouse camo, why not produce a SEXTON instead?

I am not going to say a word - but, when it comes to RETIREMENTS .... ^&grin :D {sm3} {sm4} {eek3}

I think a clue has very recently appeared on the K&C home page. You have to watch all the changing images to catch it.

Regards
Brett

Jack,
Nothing to be suspicious about. The two new Desert Rats are there for all to see. Although I think the image is missing something. I guess all will be revealed in about 24 hours.

Masterful use of language. Your first sentence is reassuring. The second admits something already known. The third hints at further secret knowledge that remains hidden. The fourth reassures me that soon I will be privy to the secrets.

Either that or I am a jerk and I'm bored. I'd hate to conduct a poll!

Just spotted what Brett saw, two very interesting looking 8th Army 'loading ' type figures, could be an artillery piece or AA gun, maybe we will learn more this time tomorrow:smile2:

Thanks for the heads up Brett

Rob
