Happy belated christmas to all! I am hoping for the WW1 German airfield crew figures shown on Gordon's diorama at Chicago (I think there were about 4 or 5 new figures), the DVII's, maybe the 'hinted at' fighting WW1 french too....

I'm also looking forward to the UXB sets and WW2 Russians. I could also use a little time to catch up on my Bulge collection, complete the last few remaining sets in the Crimean series and a few missing RAF sets!

I would like to see a USN or Marines pilot figure for the Pacific (followed by a F4F Wildcat maybe?). For the 8th Army in the desert, I would like a Stuart "Honey" tank. For the Germans, a Brummbar or a late war Pz IV.

As a WWII collector : an SdKfz 234/1 ( 8 wheeled Panzerwagen) in Normandy colours would be nice or the SdKfz 234/2 Puma and certainly the bomb disposal unit . Some great dio potential in this set.
If I can be wild, I would like to see in the coming months the Goliath tracked mine .
guy:)

I think 2012 is going to be a great year! :D I'm expecting the January dispatch to be rather "quiet". I think the telegraphed releases like the WWI airplanes, bomb disposal unit, and Kreigsmarine marchers are likely. The only wildcard will be any potential retirements as my buy list is loooooonnnnnggggg. As for the rest of the year I think for D-Day its back to the Commonwealth beaches. Many of the suggestions here I'll second like more Market Garden (although I think XXX Corp will be the release which could double for D-Day Brits), a late war Pz. IV, hanomag, nebelwerfer, goliath, armoured cars, Kittyhawk, and a Silver U.S. warbird, etc etc. I hope Santa was good to everyone and to all I wish you a Happy New Year.

as a wwii collector : An sdkfz 234/1 ( 8 wheeled panzerwagen) in normandy colours would be nice or the sdkfz 234/2 puma and certainly the bomb disposal unit . Some great dio potential in this set.

and the brumbar, mark iv h and an opel radio truck. Thanks

After reading the latest COLLECTOR that arrived last night,
thanks Brett,
I reckon that there will be NO SURPRISES next week for the 2012 January DISPATCHES.

You can see on:

Page 2: 2 new mounted knights, and one foot soldier.
Pages 19 & 20: a whole lot of new German WW2 sailors
Page 29: Napoleonic officer in Egypt and Dingo armoured car
page 30: Napoleon standing and some infantry in Egypt

so thats enough for next month, seeing we are still paying off the Christmas bills :(

But...... the new ones that will be coming in February could and will be a surprise, so roll on 2012 :)

John

I would love to see a winter Panther tank (with side skirts) with accompanying tank riders. I also hope to see a version of the P-51 Mustang flown by the Tuskegee airmen (the red tail version). A later war Panzer IV tank would also be a welcome addition to a collection. How about some American, British, French and Canadian troops (Normandy version), please? Finally, Andy please make a Stuka for our mate Wayne. His patience has been admirable and worthy of being rewarded. I am sure he would buy a whole squardon of Stukas!!!! Happy New Year to everyone, and happy collecting!

Best,

Alex

I'm also among those that don't expect surprises in January's dispatches after I saw Collectors last edition... :rolleyes2: For the rest of 2012 on the WWII front I do expect to see the long desired Stuka (think that Wayne's wish will come true this year! I'd like a tank-buster), a FW 190 Dora, maybe that P-51 with a red tail (the movie will be released on Jan 20th), finally some new ruskies, and whishing to see a winter Jagdpanther, a late war Panzer IV, a new T-34, Bulge Fallschrimjager, a Bulge 101st mortar team, a Sturmmtiger, new LAH, new Fall of Berlin, a late war Sherman winter version ,well, the list would be too long, lets just cross our fingers, wait and see...!:wink2:

Whilst reading the Collector last night I see it says the Dingo will be in the first half of the year John, so might not be in January's dispatches. Looking forward to seeing all the figures on pages 15 and 16, and the ME109 looks terrific. In this bigger picture you can make out the Bullet holes more clearly and it looks an excellent camo paint job on this version too.

there is one bullet hole right at the side of the cockpit and, had that actually happened Von Werra would have been singing in a very high voice!!!!

We'd better ask Terry why the Canadians let him escape?!:wink2: Epic adventure he had though, a sad end to his life, enemy or no enemy not nice going that way.

Great suggestions and welcome to the forum:)
