Good Deal? Relatively speaking, I guess I got a good deal. The prices these things are going for on ebay just keeps going up. I am amazed at what some people are willing to pay for some of the FOVs. I see people spending way over retail for stuff that is still available in stores.

It's nearly twice the length it should be, but I still reckon FOV are the best value for money in 1/32 scale. There is no doubt that the Dragon 1/35 models are good but are to over-priced imo. For example their Elephant is a similar price to the K & C version in Australia and although is does have better detail, the K & C Elephant has better figures etc.

That is what they make Dikes and super glue for. I trimed the barrel on the firefly. It looks a lot better now. So one should be able to shorten them quite easily if that bothers someone. How long should it be?

Why did you trim the barrel of the sherman firefly
Because it is now Oddballs' Sherman! Way wrong barrel. Hey it is giving new live to something that would have been junk to most people. It started life as a Frontline Firefly tank that someone dropped, a lot!

I'm just pulling it a bit KV
In most pics I've seen the hull machine gun extended just under half way across the hull plate, ending say about level with the shovel on the FOV model. I think the thinness of the FOV mg exaggerates its length even more.

The figures are nice. I am not sure they are still available. Kind os like early K&C. The track bogie detail is poor. The turret seems nice. Do you have a picture of the 21st Tank

So what is the protrusion from the rear? Is that the end of the gun? Battery? Counterweight? Radio?
