What a fantastic story Duke- just love Tark!!! He really set the way for the "sports entertainer" we see today- guys like Michael Strahan and Peyton Manning owe a lot to Tark for all the funny and interesting and very entertaining TV he gave everyone after his retirement. Just seems like such a great, down to earth genuine person- something that unfortunately seems quite rare these days.

Wish he could have won a Super Bowl- he deserved to.

Thanks Chris. I was a huge Vikings fan in the 70's when they lost several of those Super Bowls. I was crushed. Like I mentioned, Fran was a hero of mine growing up and I had my purple #10 jersey I would wear.

Another photo I should have done to start with is of mom and Fran with the Athens High picture he has showing the winning scores from the state championship season. I think he and mom both look great for being in their 80's!
