WB has made some non combatant figures that need to be mentioned, which I have added to my Civil War collection: Frederick Douglass and Harriet Tubman. They’re going to be making Harriet Beecher Stowe, which I will be adding. Also outstanding is the Mark Twain figure, which goes very well with First Legion’s Tom Sawyer and Huck Finn.

Ken/Ericka, will you be adding to the National Honor series. Washington’s Inauguration was a terrific set.

Hi Brad,
We have been designing sets across various ranges that support each other. Museum, Jack Tar & Leathernecks, Civil War and Napoleonic releases can work with Village Green figures. This will allow individual collectors to choose figures to tell stories beyond combat. The buildings, accessories and scenics in turn will support that. Although we have initially represented U.S. Presidents in uniform, there are more in the works similar to Washington’s Inauguration set that make sense with the new Village Green collection.
Thank you for your input!
All the best,
Ken Osen

Ken/Ericka,

Keep up the great work!

The Village Green figures look great also.

Brad

Ken,

Please keep them coming and more guys. I do like the figures in motion.

Steve

I echo others in supporting the lovely work of WBritains in their Village Green/other ranges with their civilians in particular.

Thank you very much.

Cheers,
Grey

I have bought Douglass, Tubman, and Beecher Stowe as well. As a longtime Civil War collector, I feel these are nicely filling a gap, and I hope Britains continues with more civilians.

We will be showing at the Nuremberg Toy Show in Germany in a few weeks with many new figures. By mid-February we will start posting images of the new additions in this collection on our facebook page. I am a model railroader from years back so I also love the civilians and we have a good number close to release. As many of you also know, Ericka spent many years creating historic costuming at world class museums here in the U.S. so we can tell you that our clothing in The Village Green is spot on!
Thanks for you kind comments,
Ken

Sounds like the population of Bent Forks will grow.

Its fantastic news and hope to see many people that could be used in the 1800’s, good for many of the conflicts i collect

Excellent figure and nice addition to your collection Brad. However, you should note that she lived during colonial America times (died in 1784) and not during the civil war.

Thanks Mark. Yes, I was aware but I will be adding her to that part of the display case. Glad you pointed it out for others.

I got 8 village green figures from WB this week. Impressed and will get more to cheer off my marching Confederates.

If you’re interested in the Civil War, the Sgt. William Carney 54th Mass. is a fine looking figure. A stoic look of a regimental flag bearer.
I didn’t see such a figure in the current WB catalogue although I do have several AeroArt and Jenkins figures.
