Known for Day of the Jackel and Dogs Of War, read all his books, ICON and The Fist Of God are masterpieces.

I miss those thrillers pre mobile phone tech, the George Smileys, the Ipcrest Files, etc. Gerald Seymour's latest character in his Spy/Thriller Novels, Jonas Merrick, is a throwback away from the techThriller novels.

Me too, always enjoyed his books. Right next to next to John le Carre on my bookshelf of suspense thrillers. The short story The Shepherd is a particular favorite.

I think my two favorites are "The Day of the Jackal" and "The Odessa File". They are quick reads, too. I also like the film version of each.
"Dogs of War", too.
