French Artillery FIW 1750’s (1 Viewer)

Jeff and Konrad

A triumph for both artist and collector. The French and Indian War toy soldier set taken to a new level of excellence. Jeff you really should be a master painter for the companies that produce glossies.

Cheers Guys :)

We (I) have another set to do after the Jacobites, any guesses?

Regards

Jeff

Stunning Jeff, I am sure anyone of us would be proud to display that set in our collection.

As for the next set  Zulus maybe

Hi Jeff,

As usual, your work is extraordinary. In reference to your talents, I think we should use the Capital "M" to describe you!

Warmest personal regards,

Pat :)

Wonderful, Jeff, truely wonderful,
I am very pleased with the final view.
Excellent work and it will be great to have them on the FIW shelf here at home. Looking forward to that.
Hmmm, you got one more in the works after the Jacobites you say ... what might that be ;) :)?

Konrad,

Glad you like them, the next set is........purple zulus! Tell you what lets give the others three guesses......

Jeff

Beautifully painted Jeff, that set really looks impressive.

Three guesses for your next project.....
1. Green Gatling gun set
2. Green Elephant set, with a light contrasting green artillary piece
3. Purple Camel.
No, that would be ridiculous....
3. Camel of some description. In green.

Chipping away at them, a little bit each night. Very hectic at work at the mo, so I'm doing a bit in the wee hours after the house goes quiet.

I suppose I’m lucky in that I work from home so I can manage an hour in the morning and the same in the afternoon, just have to leave my desk and wander through to the conservatory where I do my painting, get plenty of natural light that way.

After receiving the fine French Artillery Set yesterday I found some time to shoot some quick photos today which I want to share here.
The figures are displayed here on one of the straight wall sections of Ron Barzso's 18th century stonefort.
Some got to dark unfortunately but they still give a good idea about that fine work Jeff did.
Happy Collecting!

Konrad,

Nice setting! :) That is a great piece of diorama material you have there. Do you have the rest of the fort?

Jeff

Thanks for the positive comments, guys.
Jeff, I don't have the complete fort. It would require too much space (4' by 4' without any surrounding area).
I do have some of the baracks and two of the straight wall section. I got that stuff to use it in my upcoming "Surrender of Montreal, 1760" display which I wll do with figures from the Britains "Classics" FIW series.

Very nice set you painted Jeff. They look better than Tradition's painted sets. You have a nice artillery set Konrad that you will enjoy for years. John

Hi John,

Thanks, I am pleased with the way they turned out.

Jeff

I was searching the web for some info for my next project and came across this............

It makes perfect sense that they would lay down planking under the gun. That naval gun carriage would be next to immobile on any soft surface, like grass.

Prost!
