Excellent stuff straight out of the Viz. After topping up on geordie pride at home yesterday I am still grinning now.

I did something similar for a teaching course I was on a teach yourself geordie using a clip from 'Purely belter' when they are talking about the pound shop on the bridge. should have seen the lecturer's face!!!

The mara bit is still to mackem for me though but, to people from outside the north its all the same to them.

Parents live in mitford but, never heard mara in Northumberland before was not knocking. mind you I have to put up with duck and the worst one down here is the use of 'gone while' with everything. Gone while twenty past gone while friday.

Mitford eh, I'll Pegswood, just the other side of Morpeth. Maybe not so much rural as pit village?:D

That term small world seems to apply. I have done many many miles of cycling all around that area fantastic place.

Gods country... many state this for their own area but, its only true for us. When I travel up to newcastle I still get excited seeing the tyne bridge and the skyline with St James Park.

There is a song 'I'm coming home' which always comes to mind

Exactly they are great and Sir Bob a true gent. I bumped into him in the RVI when my wife was in and, just got chatting about her and footy as you do and, the next day he sent a card and flowers to my wifes room. What a man!!!
