That's awesome!! I went to the Gettysburg TS show a couple weeks ago and saw all the mounted Naps and let my mind wander thinking of what the mounted FL cavalry will look like!! Good times ahead!!
I'm worse then a bunch of old ladies that can't make thier mind up about which loaf of bread to buy!!! I really love the Romans but I'm afraid to miss out on the DAK serieswhat to do...I can only afford one more line and it's a hard choice either way, help me guys help me!!!!!!!!!!!!!....Sammy
I wonder what surprises the newsletter will bring. Who knows maybe you will see some American GIs and you wont have to decide between Rome and DAK.
Same answer as before Chris. Unless the K&C Romans are much smaller than the K&C Naps, they will not match the standard FL size, which does match the old Conte Romans, which according to Mike, match the new Conte Romans. Standard CS Napoleonic figures are bulky like K&C but shorter and size wise match them the best.Ok, I certainly agree with you on that point- I do believe I saw you had FL naps- any opinion how those will scale up?? My only concern is the scale issue when compared to KC, Conte and now CS. I have seen their NAPs and AWI figures and believe they are slightly smaller than the KC ones but some FL collectors have stated that the Crusaders are more in line with KC et al.
Thanks

Francisco, the mix of bronze and iron helmets would be more accurate than if all the figures had iron. The Romans didn't have 100% identical kit issued to each man. And, even as the 'newer' iron Imperial-Gallic type helmets began to be issued, those with the 'bronze' type probably kept them till they were worn out.

Exactly! Hollywood Romans need not apply, although a Roman dude wearing a wristwatch would be kind of funny.{eek3}{sm4} (Just a reference to the "Roman Soldiers Don't Wear Wristwatches" hollywood blooper book a few years ago...):rolleyes2:

Hey Francisco- it would not be unheard of to see the legionaires in different suits of armor as well- lorica segmentata- the "plated" Armor if you will, is very stylish and was rather popular but they used chain and ring armor as well.
