Harold, Great stuff!!!!^&cool I wish all those figures were available in 1/32 scale. You have an incredible Prussian army there. I see a few units there that I wanted to try converting in 1/32. The amount of Napoleonic figures available in 1/28 and 1/72 makes me so jealous! Your giving me a bad case of scale envy. Great set up, great painting and great collection! AAA+++++++++++++++++ I would have to convert and paint every day for years to match that in 1/32 scale or be old and gray waiting for someone to release all those sets in 1/32.
Your tempting me into that scale but I can,t afford starting a new scale so I guess I,ll have to stick to slowly converting my own.
I love the cavalry figures!^&cool I want to try and build some Prussian/Russian cavalry I have been trying to do a mold of a basic figure without head or arms in riding pants with button legs that could be used for various Prussian/Russian cavalry.
It would be good for Russian and Prussian dragoons and various other Prussians, then I just need to mold some heads to add on. Any chance you might venture into having some 1/32 scale cavalry made??? If you do a basic dragoon uniform and a few different heads/arms you can get a lot of mileage from the bodies with various heads and a bit of conversion. Same can also be done with a basic cuirassier body and various heads with a bit of tweaking. I,m going to try messing around with both and see what I can come up with but I,m no sculptor, but If I can just get one of each body style make a good mold that works???#&%#%$#% I could convert the bodies to different poses and units and make molds of those also with various different arms with swords, lances, pistols, flags, bugles, wounded, carbines ect.. and make tons of different figures and units from various nations like Prussians,Russians, Austrians,Bavarians,Saxons ect... With the various heads and a bit of converting the sky is the limit because many of the uniforms are very similar. A basic Hussar and lancer uniform could get a lot of mileage also if done in headless/armless kit form also.
What do you think??? You ready to have a few more figures sculpted? One body each of each body style, one left arm holding the rains and a few different right arms with various weapons and positions then have various heads made from each nation. All in kit form so they can be tweaked into various poses. With a few bodies and heads you could cover most of the cavalry we have been missing for years!
Horses would be the other problem but I,d be happy with just the troopers for a start. I bought a bunch of those Italeri Hussar sets and the sheep skin dragon tooth saddles can be used for most of the above.
