Why so much variation in sizes?

I have the most recent Easy 8 and it sizes up real well against Oddball's Sherman and Collectors Showcase last Sherman..Different variants, but all loook right next to each other..Michael

The M4 Fury is fine as a ficticious film tank. The actual M4A3E8 76MM HVSS had a T-23 turret with an oval loaders hatch; not the split hatch. The earliest combat deployment was late December 1944. More combat was seen in Korea than WWII!

The K&C turret is correct for some M4A3E8s from the earlier production batches. The turrets came from several foundries so there was production overlap between foundries and tank assembly plants. As you mentioned the first batch of M4A3E8s got to the ETO right before the Ardennes offensive, but as deliveries arrived in early 1945 they became quite common as replacement tanks in the theater. To be very specific the PRIMARY tank used for "Fury" was a diesel-powered M4A2E8 The other tank that played "Fury" was a "frankentank" made from the hul of an M4 howitzer tank with a 76mm turret added.

Great information Gary B. Amazing how complex the production of the M4 was. Involving many different manufacturers making hulls and turrets; but to different standards. Astounding they fit togather at final assembly.

I would had liked all hatches opened though..... something like this with all 5 crews

I like this tank, but nowadays I no longer buy tanks with all static hatches, I think that was a thing of the past, so bye bye to this one...now some of you will call me troll and so for tell things as most of collectors think...{sm4}

You mean like this

It looks big as well,hopefully the figure won't be taller than the deck.

Amen, Wayne, on the height of the figure relative to the vehicle's deck:

Nothing looks phonier than a squad of TS that are taller than the deck of their accompanying Sherman.

I am really pleased to see that K&C has finally taken a leaf from TCS's book and made sets where the AFV and figures are the same scale; no matter what that scale happens to be! Realism rules IMHO! Pehaps in future I will be able to use the fine K&C figures with AFVs other than 1/25 scale models from Tamiya to achieve a realistic display. Although I really like the TESCA Panzer II with a K&C Kommander and Wayne I painted it Panzer Grau.

Any chance of a picture mate ??

Judging on the picture, the size of the crew member ( tank commander- war daddy) standing next to the tank is Ok. Dont forget the tank rests on its tracks and has no base , the figure has a 2mm high base, which you have to deduct . The other crew members are more than allright in size
guy:)

Recently reviewed the latest collector. This tank and some of the assorted tank crew on break look really good. I like the two tone camo and the crews poses eating/drinking on a break. Well done K&C, my shopping list ever grows! {sm3}
