I'm glad to see the upcoming release of the Panzer IV. Not thrilled with the camo color. Seems alittle too green. What theater of battle is this release suppost to be from? Hope we see an additional release with a bit lighter color scheme.

just think of it as factory painted or newly applied in the field. Most AFV's were rather dark in colour when painted its the wear and tear from the field that fades the colour a couple of washes over that and it would look spot on

Basic mid-war 3 colour camo suitable for western Europe or Eastern Front. A very common pattern.

The MkIV apears to be modelled on a Panzer Lehr vehicle knocked out in Villers Bocage in June 1944.

Is this the photo? The camo is fairly dark even for a tank in combat.

And can you make out the other symbol on the back of the turret?

there is about four good pics from the after battle but, in this one the camo pattern is very hard to distinguish. Black and white pics are difficult to define and some were also not camo painted.

Terry...

I think this is the marking on the Panzer IV. Bottom right

Yes - to commemorate a former commander. But it's the symbol to the left that looks like a torch with an "S" in it that I don't know.

Terry...

I can only see the tank number side and rear and the regiment marking on the side and rear

Can't see that torch with an S symbol and have increased the size of the picture to 400%

The side of the turret reading from left to right has the regiment 130 double stripe, the number 634 and the balkencruz. On the rear of the turret reading from right to left is the double stripe marking angled, and a large white symbol that looks like a torch with an "S" in the centre. It is clear at the size of the posted photo.

It should be a number like in this photo of a Panzer Lehr P.IV, but it just doesn't look like a "4" to me.

I agree, the camo appears to be "too green"....I would like to see a different color scheme as well....with battle weathering faded/mud....or even winterized version.

My thoughts also. A more weathered or worn down look would be great. It seems as though some of the other companies as well have used this darker green color. Not a fan of this. Hope as well to see later releases in a lighter color.

Just to throw this out there. Comments were made that this tank is "newer" on purpose with less weathering, etc. It is meant to be a newer vehicle off the assembly line and just beginning its service. Figarti is offering a varied product now trying to capture the various stages of combat and weathering.

Hope this explains a little,

TD

Also, its easier to paint I wonder if its giving choice as CS also go with the quite dark green but still weather up?? Either way its probably going to be a 100 edition or similarly low so, will be popular regardless of dark green paintwork

Different stages of weathering and wear give a whole new dimension to variations in a display. :)
