Future Possibilities? Hopefully. (2 Viewers)

K&C is interested only in making Nazi anything..they got fat and rich off of it. We all know that sells..They are no longer the innovative kings that they once were. I like a manufacturer with new ideas.

If Brian, Does make any Pacific Operations Items. I will be one of the first ones to order. BTW, If you ever check, CS does sell a lot of Nazi anything as you call it, too.

With the drama Collective Showcase always so effectively instills in its figures, I think it could do a wonderful job with beach landings (whether Pacific or Europe). The question would be whether there is room for this right now on the Europe front because of the recent boats from K&C. I am thinking something approaching what Conte did but on a different scale. I would also love to see an American truck with GIs jumping out!!!!! They are certainly experienced with producing high quality jumping figures.

Maybe CS could work out a set of US Glider Infantry exiting a glider that is broken up or just opened normally. Wouldn't have to do the whole glider as a part of the wing and body might do. -- Al

CS makes WW2 German, of course..they'd be crazy not to..Major selling stuff..and excellent items too. That's why I have always aggravated Brian into trying some Marine sets so much..I think they would sell and yes, they would make me happy. I'm ready to spend some money on them, as are other collectors. Mamelukes would be fantastic, great idea...again - innovation is the key...

I think we somehow lose the point when we are talking about manufacturers and what they produce and why. Now, I am a huge collector of LAH parade stuff so, I am obviously pleased with two of the big companies making this stuff for me but, they do so for one reason only, the customer base is there, in place, and strong. whether people like it or not its popular and sells so, nobody, can begrudge them doing this as, its what they are there for.

Now, a few like the pacific theatre, and its been done before, and has proven for whatever reason to be not worth the outlay to manufacturers and, is not a very popular conflict with the wider audience of collectors and people in general. I have just seen some comparable sales figures for HBO's BOB and pacific which, enhance this point the european theatre show was much more popular.

Some things sell some do not it must be a pain to really like an area that is not of interest to many. I wonder though if many of the smaller manufacturers would take the step of forking out money on the hope it may sell?? Its quite an ask if only 50 people buy the sets and you do 400

very true..I don't begrudge any maker who makes WW2 ETO...that is a major collector/selling base of operations. It is all impressive, the LAH marching sets and accessories are fantastic to look at, very exciting to create. If somebody with CS's capabilities could come up with dynamic poses with ETO soldiers, than they could do the same with PTO, on a much smaller scale. That's all I mentioned in the first place...Like the title of this whole thread "Future Possibilities - Hopefully"..ETO collectors have more than their share of toys to play with...

I agree that if they were to venture into the theatre their track record of great poses etc would make it a good range but, as someone said if it was popular K&C would be all over it.

As I said, it must be horrible to like something so much, as you certainly seem to do with the pacific, and it not to be done with the amount of manufacturers we have.

I suppose you could fill the void, get a few people like minded and look at starting a pacific range and prove everyone wrong. Its always bandied around the forum if you don't like it start your own well, its only a matter of time before someone is going to say ''I will'' and who knows what could happen

If I only was as talented as Brian and his cohorts at CS, I would do just that. On another note - I am hopeful for more Johnny Rebs at full "Rebel Yell" mode to add to my growing CS collection...

I would love to see some PTO pieces, I do have a few marines plus an amtrack. Do not have any Japanese.

I would love to have a Japanese tank.

Wow so much drama! Brian will make what sells I am sure. Any hints your Worship?

If the PTO were represented how about a Marine Corp Stuart or Sherman?

Is that some hint that you could be swayed to venture to the far east???

How far east? I would like to see US Marines in Korean War cold weather gear, say, the Chosin Resevoir. Lots of stuff at Chosin; trucks, tanks, ambulances, snow, Chinese military. Lots of potential here.;) -- Al

I want more parade figures with improved faces! Re-issue of waffen SS jumpers with improved faces. And i want some German tank riders!

Chosin Reservoir would be the ultimate in innovative thinking..I'll clear a spot now for it..

Well I'm happy with what Brain making at the moment but would love to see some British ETO stuff in the future

Have loved this subject matter ever since reading about Lt. John Yancey, CO of 2nd Pla., Co.E, 7th Regt. USMC and his actions at hill 698, Sudong, and hill 1282, Yudam-Ni, in my Landmark book, "The Story of the U.S. Marines". The vivid writing captured my imagination when I was in 3rd grade (almost 50 years ago) and has never let go. Also liked Hammel's book "Chosin: Heroic Ordeal of the Korean War". Don't know how popular Korea or specific actions would be, but I would buy Chosin figures and vehicles in a heartbeat. -- Al
