Game of Thrones Season 4 (2 Viewers)

Watched a 15 minute promo last night and it looks like a lot more action this year.I kept waiting for something to happen last year and except for the Red Wedding it never did.Want to see more of the White Walkers and the Dragon Lady (plus dragons of course).^&grin

seriously...Game of Thrones doesn't have enough action for you...

we gotta disagree on this one...

you never know what's gonna happen or can guess who is gonna get killed off on that show...

but more action is always welcome...

I'm a huge fan also...I have not seen the 15 trailer...post a link to it if you can...

April 6th I believe...
 
It was on HBO before True Detective.I was disappointed in season 3 not that I thought that it was bad just not up to the standards I expect from it.The main problem is that they have way too many storylines.Now this might be alright if they had 20 + episodes but with only 10 you only get a few minutes for each storyline each episode.As I said I kept waiting for something to happen and it really never did except for the Wedding.

it is a tad convoluted with the numerous storylines...but I personally like that...I record it...as sometimes I need to re-watch a part...I once missed an episode and was totally lost the following week...^&grin

the novelist...George R. R. Martin...that wrote "A Song of Ice and Fire"...which "Game of Thrones" was adapted from...started it as a trilogy...then extended it to 7 volumes...of which he has only written up to volume 6 so far...

Volume 5...took him 5 years to write and HBO is concerned they will conclude the series before Martin finishes volume 7...which they have said they will write their own ending if he continues to write so slowly...
 
Agree with you guys Season 3 was so boring, I enjoyed S1 & S2. Hopefully Season 4 is better than the last one.
 
Read a newspaper article about the method used by a Belgian school teacher to get his students to behave. Told them if did not behave would write up on the blackboard the names of GOT main characters about to die (he has read the books). Did do it on one occasion and one student described it as "pure genius".
 
I read where the storylines will be longer this time meaning they won't hop from character to character every minute or 2.I guess I wasn't the only one complaining about that.

I re-watched all 30 episodes the last 2 weeks...Season 1...thru Season 3...

I enjoy all the different storylines...I enjoy bouncing around from one character to another...

of course my two favorites are Tyrion Lannister and Daenerys Targaryen...

Peter Dinklage is "king of the dwarves"...absolutely superb...and who couldn't love Emelia Clarke...she is a total hottie...

I heard she has refused to do anymore nude scenes...what a shame...hahaha...but I'll still watch it...I'm dying to see those dragons grow up...

I also like Charles Dance as Tywin Lannister...what a cruel devious character he plays...

and his daughter Lena Headey as Cercei...she is the proverbial "the apple doesn't fall fall from the tree" child...

some other characters I would like to see more of...

Lord Petyr Baelish, nicknamed "Littlefinger
Ser Jaime Lannister
Arya Stark
Theon Greyjoy
Sandor Clegane, nicknamed "The Hound"
Bronn

especially "The Hound"...who's character seems to be developing into a sort of a "good guy"...as is Jamie Lannister...
 
I been watching a lot of them also Mike.I'm really looking forward to the new season.The long term plan (ratings permitting) is 7 years.I agree with all your favs but I want to see more of the whitewalkers.Do you think the dragons could melt them.^&grin

kind of expected a little more in the Season 4 opener...but a good episode none the less...

did anybody notice than Daario Naharis has been replaced...I heard he left the series and signed on to do the lead character in the next "Transporter" film...formerly played by Jason Statham...

and again...I'm really starting to like Clegane...Dog...Hound...they seem to have changed his character dramaticly into an almost "good guy"...regardless...I like his character and hope he plays a bigger role in upcoming episodes...

I didn't like how Dareyns's dragon "snipped" at her...I would have rather had their roles written with undying loyalty and love to their "mother"...fiercely protective and devoted...

does anybody know how many episodes Season 4 will air?

I too am starting to like the Hound...I think initially he saw her as a bargaining chip , because he has nothing to his name...But after the slaughter @ the wedding of her mother & brother & now her spunk has won him over...
I think by showing the dragon snip @ her they are telling you look these are wild creatures not goldfish or lap dogs...they care about her , but she is not the alpha to them...Maybe a bit of foreshadowing involved ?!?

Joe...I agree with everything you just said...and yea...Arya is turning into a bloodthirsty hellion bent on revenge with verbatim quotes to her victims...

I'm guessing Aunt Olenna...she is shrewd and doesn't take any guff from anybody...

and who rules now...Margaery who wears the crown...or Cersei without a crown?

the list of potential murderers includes the whole cast...

next episode should be a good one...
