That looks excellent Michael:cool::cool:

Cheers

Martyn:)

Awesome Michael!!! Good to see you enjoying some playtime with your fort. I like the captured wounded Mahdist :) also where did you get your palm trees from, they work nicely with the figures.

Mike,

That fort is something else! Looks like you had fun setting this up. I know this has been mentioned before but is quite evident from your photos that the JJD Mahdist clothing looks very grey compared to the WB and HM figures. John really does need to release Fuzzy Wuzzies sometime soon……

Very nice!

thank you Nap...

thanks Scott...I think he's actually supposed to be an Egyptian (an ally)...I stole him from the JJD "Gordon at Khartoum" diorama..but you're right...he could easily pass for a Mahdist outside the fort...but the spear would look weird as a weapon that killed him...I should have left him out the dio...but you know me...I'm a sucker for the masses...

Nicely done Michael . . . .
:) Mike

thank you Mike...

thank you Jeff...I think it was Randy that first brought it up a while back...but you're both right...they are darker...

strangely enough...I also mentioned this to JJ today and he said he made the Mahdist in the "Gordon at Khartoum" (SUD-01) in the darker clothes to emphasis the attention off them...and onto Gordon himself...

the sets SUD-02 and SUD-03 are in the whiter clothes and I think they will all be that way in the future...

we also spoke about the FW's and Mahdist...and if all goes well...maybe we will see some after the Chinese New Year...when he finishes releasing the rest of the Gordons...

Nice photos and fort. The figures are really interesting. Your collection of JJ goes on. Thanks for posting. J

Hi Mike,
Great scene!
In your diorama there is a fellow with a red fez, who is holding a sword and spear. Who made this figure?
Thanks.
Benjamin

Mike, another great scene! I like the fort.

thank you Brent...

the figure was made by Martin Tabony for his company...Heritage...he's a member here...here is the link to his profile...

here are the ones I have bought so far...they go well with the JJD and WB figures...the skin is not as dark...but not a problem for me...

Michael:

The fort is spectacular and so huge!

Looks as if you are managing to assemble your troops nicely now and will soon fill up the garrison.

As always, I appreciate the attention to detail that you apply to your strctures, and at the risk of sounding sexist..."nice jugs!"

Knew it wouldn't be long before your fort came under attack Michael. Very nicely staged an photograph my friend.........PapaZ

That is indeed, a fantastic fort you have made Michael :)
And great photography as usual!
