Robin...

I love your pictures...

your amassing quite a contingent for the British forces...

I'm curious...

how do you compare the Wm. Brit camels to the K&C camels...

I own the Wm. Brit sitting camel...and think he is spectacular and at a very affordable price...$36.00...

I would like to buy the K&C's...but they are a little more expensive...$49.00...

do you think they go pretty well together...

your collection looks like mine...I need more Mahdist and FW's...

I hate to keep buying multiple poses...I'm hoping JJ will start with some native Sudan forces very soon..

also...who makes the elephant...he's a beaut...

I too need more Mahdis and Fuzzy Wuzzys...

Michael, thanks for showing interest, you make it worth while posting photo's. I may not always comment on yours, but I always enjoy them and I see them all. You like me are very creative in your setups. In answer to your question, the K&C camels fit in just fine, pity they are a little more expensive.I am hanging out for the 3 Britain Nile camels, at the moment due October, fingers crossed,(I do not think we can have enough camels in these desert scenes). I am smitten with the JJ releases to date, have 4 gatling guns on order. Even the separate rifle from the fallen guy with spear in him, I find useful as it hooks on to the hand of one of the Britain's strecher bearers to make a different looking figure. Already excited about using the upcoming release of the Gordon helping his mate, as said before on another thread, he may have to leave his fallen mate for awhile and help with the gatling gun or carry a water bucket or other duties, I think not having a gun in his hand could make him very versatile. Also looking to do a firing line with 2 upcoming standing/kneeling Gordons. Have also ordered the Britains which I am sure will blend in, but for the time being all my money will be going to JJ.Cheers, Robin. PS the elephant is from Britains Durbar series.

Robin...

I can't tell you how happy I am that another Jenkin's collector is posting photos...

lots of guys on here collect them...but not many show photos...

you're really creative with your figures and dioramas...so I get lots of ideas from your work...

even John commented to me about your work on here...

I know the K&C are a little pricey...but they look really nice...and I don't think $49.00 is too pricey for a standing camel...a little high maybe...but if you say they blend well...I think I will try one...

I'm hoping John will make a couple too...

You are going to have a very formidable group with 4 Gatling guns...I hope John will offer a separate different crew of artillery figures for the Gatling gun sets...if he does...I will get more also...

I'm also anxious to get some multiples of the firing lines...I'm building a fort and want a lot of guys on the walls defending...

the "wounded/helping" set is going to be a great set...I love wounded and dead figures...

I'm hoping for officers too...lots of officers...I definitely want one with a telescope and would like a group of officers and NCO's in "conference poses"...

again...I hope he comes out with some Mahdist pretty soon...I really need a ton of them...

did you get set SUD02 from JJ...I saw you got SUD03 in one of your photos...I'm really surprised only one side of the flag is painted...I also noticed Wm. Brits #27005 has only one side of the flag painted...

Hi Michael, I guess we will get swept away shortly with the Chicago event, but until than we can compare notes.Yes officiers/telescope/binoculars all needed, plus bagpipes. I have all 4 Mahdist JJ sets, plus all Britains on order, which should give a total of around 20 Mahdists which is not enough, I sure JJ will give us some more. Yes a different crew for the guns would be nice also.I am very keen on making a substanial British square.I often play a small cassette recorder with bagpipe music I recorded of the net which adds to the setup while you are moving the figures around. Just gives another dimension to the scene. Hear from you soon, Robin.

I like your use of the Dervish figures climbing up the stairs from the JJ death of Gordon set. Very nice.

Matthew

Thankyou Matthew, really enjoy setting up scenes which I hope might inspire others to follow suit. cheers, Robin.

That's a very good idea, I hadn't thought of using them this way.

Robin,

Your collection is growing I see.....with 4 Gatling guns  you are going to need a lot of FW casualties!

Jeff

Having received my latest terrain board (made by Tony Neville of K&C UK) for my cabinet I thought a few photos of my JJD Sudan collection (so far) wouldn't go amiss.
Desperately need more Madhists and some Fuzzy Wuzzies from John.

Thanks

Jeff
