Hello my virtual friends

I took advantage of the current First Legion sale and a few figures flew in this week that under normal circumstances would have been out of my price range. The March JJD figures should at last be with me early next week (they have been dispatched to Hobart from Brisbane). I ordered most of the new Thomas Gunn figures and am tempted by some of the K&C sale items.

Stay safe and well

Gary

Gary some beautiful pieces here. My JJD parcel has taken 4 weeks to get from Chicago to San Francisco. Finally it’s arrived in Sydney which will need to clear customs, how long who knows and than travel by truck with two closed interstate borders to negotiate, so expect another 3 weeks, meaning almost 2 months from departure. Looking forward to receiving it as a distraction from what is occurring around me in this point of history. In the meantime I can view your collection to see what I have coming. Thank you kindly. Robin.

Robin thanks for your post. I am not a patient man but it took 4 weeks for the Military Workshop to receive the order direct from JJD and then a week to get to Hobart. So I guess I was lucky. Brett at MW reckons April JJD stuff in tomorrow (Tuesday) but we will wait and see. I do have some commissioned figures from Beau Geste that were ordered mid-January. They are cast but due to lockdown in Argentina cannot be sent for painting. Understandable but my order is going to be at least another 2 months before completion. But I am relaxed about that one.

I have purchased the latest Thomas Gunn figures but told them to hold them and wait for the May releases - no point sending a small parcel half way around the world in the current circumstances.

Stay safe and well my friend.

Gary

I am getting to like the Team Miniatures stuff more and more. Good quality, competitive price and a rich variety of subject matter. Can't wait to get the Boer War figures, Boxer Rebellion Italians and on the horizon Franco/Prussian War and Teutonic knights. Just had delivered this bright Sunday morning in Tassie a large box of all the April John Jenkins figures. Looking forward to opening that this afternoon.

Gary

Not much in this weak. Still waiting on Thomas Gunn parcel to land as well as Team Miniatures Boer War stuff to wing its way to Tasmania. I did get on Friday the discounted K&C British Crimean infantry. Such a steel at $28 USD a figure. All 15 figures make for a colourful display.

Excellent pickup Gary. Certainly fills in the hole created by slow deliveries. Robin.

Some of these are heading my way, but ever so slow. I guess when you lock down your borders, you must expect that the supply chain to all but collapse. Blasted virus. Great pickups Gary. Robin.

Thanks Robin. Things are starting to get faster.Only 2 weeks from UK and a few days for TM figures from Brisbane.

Some Beau Geste figures made their way from Argentina to Tasmania this week.
