G Hackman, wife, and dog die under mysterious circumstances in their Santa Fe home. One of the outstanding actors of our time, his chase scene in French Connection is one of best in film history (along with Bullit). RIP

A lot of great movies. More than I can even remember. He seemed like a humble guy for someone of his fame. I saw a clip of him speaking about how grateful he was to have had the opportunity to act for a career. And he apparently knew when to call it quits. The voyeuristic journalism and speculation about his death are currently overshadowing that career but that will eventually be a minor footnote. It's also a bit sad that anyone can be dead for days or longer with no one even knowing.
Great actor, loved most of his movies. Death is definitely taking some strange directions. Something is odd with it. I think they just ruled out carbon monoxide which is now making it more strange.
