German radio and medic team (1 Viewer)

Thank you all.

Nasir - the flamethrower set is on sculpting process so there's still a couple of months before I can have pictures of it.

Winter versions haven't been made yet, but they won't take that long since we'll modify the masters as we did with the food line. So they won't take 2 months, but it won't be less than 4 weeks to have something ready.

Unfortunately there's nothing we can do about the dog since it's a bonus for the set. I can only offer not to include it. But I believe you can exchange it with other collectors for something you'd be more interested to have.

Thanks,

Ana

I'm already excited about the flamethrower set, so chances are i'll review the purchase of the K&C 2 men flamethrower set. I don't think i'll be dissapointed ;)

The winter sets should be beauties as well, i'll have to wait patiently to see that.

The dog issue, i hope i could do an exchange?

maybe in exchange with the Supply wagon cat?

i know cats are basically useless in War, to think about it, useless in normal day-to-day life too ( i used to keep many cats ), but I’ll like to see the playful cat with the chicken with the medic team.

a comforting sight indeed for a wounded soldaten.

Ray (kilted vampire) respectfully pmed a very good question -

what do dogs have to do with the Islamic religion?

I’m putting the reply here not to preach but as a general knowledge to my forum friends, to clear misconceptions.

i hope my dear forum friends are not slighted.

answer –

Islam teaches Muslims to be respectful and loving to all animals.

“There is not an animal (that lives) on the earth, nor a being that flies on its wings, but (forms part of) communities like you. Nothing have we omitted from the Book, and they (all) shall be gathered to their Lord in the end.” Qur'an 6:38

Mistreating animals is considered a sin in Islam. A Muslim is responsible for the care of animals so much so that an ill-treated animal will testify against the one who abused it on the Day of Judgment.

Islam forbids branding animals and killing them in vain, such as for sport like dog fighting and trophy hunting.

Even in slaughtering animals for food, Islam requires that the slaughtering be done according to Islamic procedure, which is humane and aims to cause the animals as little suffering as possible.

The prohibition with dogs is due to their unhygienic nature, and Islam stresses a very strong demand on cleanliness.

Prophet Muhammad’s tradition states that angels do not enter a house which contains a dog. As dogs are considered ritually unclean, though NOT haram/unlawful to keep keep dogs as pets, most practicing Muslims don’t.

It is also NOT haram/unlawful to touch a dog or any other animal. If the saliva of a dog touches a Muslim or any part of his/her clothing, then it is required to wash the body part touched and the item of clothing touched by the dog’s mouth or snout.

Though dogs are not usually kept by Muslims as pets, there is absolutely no issue (even from the extremists) if dos are kept to be used for work, such as guarding your house or office, or when used for hunting purposes.

I hope I have clarified a bit regarding this issue.

Sincerely,

Nasir Kasmani.

i realized that the wounded standing german in the medic team set is wearing an SS camo smock.

when i purchase the set can i request the german uniforms to be set to SS markings?

nasir kasmani.

In my post answering the dog in islam, i wrongly quoted Ray as the questioner. the correct person is KV.

Thank you for explaining this matter Nasir. I was curious about the dog issue but didn't like to ask in case I offended you.

Thanks Nasir. Dogs do some annoying and some dirty things. Their personalities make up for it. Thank you for clarifying the issue.

As to some of you guys and the superdog, have you ever seen a hundred and fifty pound Shepherd? They are Huge!

Nasir

Thank you so much for the explanation of dogs in Islamic culture. The global aspects of this forum make it a wonderful place to learn about other cultures.

The only Shepherd I've seen that big is the religious guy from Firefly ;)

Thanks guys for being receptive and ever so gracious. :)

The only thing to make this moment sweeter for me is if Ana announces she's releasing the King Tiger very soon. :D

I really like these sets. I am stock piling for a Winter dio. The medic team in winter(was this mentioned) is a must have for me. Ana warm up your pen!

Ana, great new figures, placed my order yesterday.

It will be great I am sure. Michael at Sierra was showing the set on line. I told them about the winter version. This is really a must for me.
