With all respect to my Australian friends and their great Cricket team....

NICE ONE ENGLAND!!!!!

These first two tests have been excellent, some great Cricket played by both teams.

Totally agree Rob, both tests have been really entertaining. I think Ricky has good cause to feel aggrieved on the loss of the first two wickets of the second innings. These things usually even themselves out so I think we'll be in for more drama in the next three tests. I must shamefully admit up until late morning today I had a nagging doubt England would knock off the remaining five wickets and visions of a historic win for the Aussies!

An ashes summer - hats off to both teams - superb!

Yep its great stuff isn't it.Was wonderful to watch Freddie bowl with venom and aggression, he caused Australia all sorts of problems today. But we can be sure Aus will dig deep for the next test, bring it on.:)

Still 3 to go and hopefully a different UMPIRE:mad: i wouldnt get to carried away fella,s

No the 5 Aussie batsmen that wer'nt out in both innings

:D

All joking aside,us Brits have got to expect Aus to come back more determined than ever, the fight they put up in their second innings shows that, should be a great game.(if it stops bl**** raining for long enough:rolleyes:)

Yep im looking forward to next 3 tests im glad its a better series than last one.Keep me updated on weather please...............

With two back-to-back tests coming up, fitness is going to be a major factor. I can't see Freddie playing both I hope he does and goes at full pelt, but if he can't the loss of England's talisman may play a pivitol part.

I don't imagine for a moment the Aussies are taking the last test result well, I expect a feisty 3rd test with more controversy. BTW I think there is a valid case for some of the dismissals in the Australian second innings but hey ho it adds spice and now they have to go for it to square the series. I have visions of Freddie emerging from No. 10 more sozzled than his last visit in 2005!

ps - I think Matty Prior is having a good series.

The Ashes series in Australia was a profound disappointment after 2005 (the result still hurts, but the cricket and the spirit were magic). The two recent series against South Africa were superb, and this series has started that way, but the loss of KP is a shame. KP's relationship with Australia is the same as Warne's with England: brilliant players, but I wouldn't want them doing my maths homework.

Nor would I want Warney texting Mrs Evzone :D

Whether you love him or loathe him Shane Warne is a legend. I think KP has a little way to go to emulate him but such characters make the game colouful!

Anyone want to make some pre-third test predictions?
