I started this series in the First Legion Forum, but I am going to try to continue it with figures from other manufacturers so I am going to restart it here. It will will be a short "Mini Series"

Buford decides to make a stand....

On July 1, 1863, at 8 am, Buford's dismounted Cavalry held the ridge until 10:30 am against the Confederates, until the arrival of the 1 Corps infantry.

Excellent shot with a great short & long focus. This is a step change for you Alex from your usual WWII mayhem of tanks and rubble ^&grin. But its right up my street. Very well done sir!

Thanks Gentlemen

UK REB has the ACW magnificently covered as we all know, but I had to do something for the 150th Anniversary of Gettysburg. I have been there twice and it is a moving experience.

Buford orders Devins boys into the fight as elements of Heths Division press the attack.

Excellent work Alex. I enjoy viewing your civil war dioramas as well has your wwll dioramas. Nice photography and thanks for posting. John

Thank you

This ends the repeat pics from above, new stuff to come soon.

Bufords dismounted Calvary puts up a valliant stand, but their position would eventually fold....The delaying action would set the tone for the remainder of the battle and deny the Rebs favorable. ground.

Alex, my kepi is off to you and this great scene. ACW is my favorite era and your work is superb. Chris

Thank you Gentlemen......Please don't encourage me ^&grin I am a WWII guy but the ACW has a certain glamor. My collection is getting out of control ( As are all of ours I would guess ) If I get heavy into the ACW that will break the bank.

I have a scene coming up that is going to be quite interesting. I will put it out on the 150th Anniversary. Alex

Reynolds......."Come on John lets go surprise Harry Heth"

I saw and heard the cannons going off on Seminary Ridge yesterday and was surprised at how much smoke and noise they produced. Maybe that is obvious, but I had never heard them fired before on the battlefield and they were only firing them one at a time. I can only imagine the noise and smoke produced in the battle. Some kids in the day care at the bottom of the hill plugged their ears and hightailed it inside.

Excellent, Alex. Very atmospheric!

Many thanks Gentlemen.....

In the shadow of the Civil War Cronicles by UK Reb it is fruitless to get carried away with Civil War scenes.

I will stick with Gettysburg and my posings will be few and far between. I have enough stuff for about two more scenes involving the first day....Lets see where it goes from there.
