What would the modern more detailed figures look like I wonder if they were painted in older glossy colors? I'm making a request to Andy to make me a special glossy figure...I will pay 500 dollars for a one off figure made by Andy for me...Andy are you listening??? Now who as an idea of which figure would be the most interesting candidate?

Years ago, before K & C became as big as they are now, they did special requests. However, they don't do that anymore.

I see you will be moving to Hawaii. Who else but Steve McGarett, maybe in his US Naval uniform? "Book 'em, Danno!" -- Al

If you offered to have a run of a few hundred figures made up plus the cost of sculpting, tooling, etc he might be interested.

It's a several $k commitment to have a figure made. That's just for one.

Why not ask for a figure that is still in production but get it unpainted andhave it painted in the old glossy colours by one of the forum artists who do repaints.

You might be able to get an unpainted K&C figure still in production.

That's a thought...though for me it would mean more coming from Andy himself. I think the ultimate set would be DD083, 84, 85 and 86 "all gloss" I offer $1000 for this set in gloss...I suppose $1000 isn't much when your just a small niche company:rolleyes:

Just my opinion but WW II is really a matte line. If you wanted something gloss, why not something more traditional like Sons of Empire, Crimea and so forth.

Now this is a terrific idea. Those Skinner's Horse would look magnificent in gloss. I'd buy them in a second even though I have them already. -- Al

Brad that would also be very cool...though I just love this figure

I don't know what Andy's expections are for club figures, but he may be able to satisfy some collectors through that avenue. As far as Andy doing a one off for a collector currently, I don't think he would do it because I think it would tick off many long time friends of his.

If not for me personally then maybe a few sets could be made and offered to those who come forward first...just like some of the warbirds that go as fast as they come out...limited production and higher cost? The club figures are also a great idea!

Now, if you position it that way, a la Warbirds, you might have some possibilities. You just never know.
