Pretty sure the right figure is ZERO but what about the left figure? I studied the Frontline figures before bidding and concluded it wasn't Frontline. It appears to match the Zero well so maybe it is a rare K&C figure I haven't seen before?

Well, they're two different castings, for one thing. You can tell by the position of each figure's feet on the base.

My thought on the figure on the right is that it's a Valiant casting to start, from the sculpt and the shape and thickness of the base, and possibly modified from there. I'm not as up on contemporary commercially available, finished figures, so I can't say that they're not out of the box from a modern maker. They just look to me more like something someone did on his own.

Can you tell us more about how you acquired them, do you have a box, are there markings under the bases, etc?

Mark and I are sure that the one on the right is K & C. We think the one on the left may be K & C but neither of us have seen it before.

They are both K&C. I have both the USAF and USN versions of the one on the right, Larry Lo has at least one, maybe both versions the one on the left.

I saw the one on the right in photos of your collection as well as the Warbirds brochure from 1995 but what is the one on the left.

K&C did two Navy and two USAF pilots, two standing carrying their kit bag, two reenacting a combat with their hands. I only discovered the reenacting figures in the last couple of years when they came up for auction with the kit bag figures, and Larry e-mailed Andy and he identified them as K&C.

I'm excited then to know this because I bought them on a chance that I was right. I never get tired of acquiring rare K&C Glossy figures. I only by mint to excellent stuff, though I can tell the figure has some paint chipping. Since the figure is not very often seen I will look into having it repaired if needed. Can someone come to my house and repair it here???^&grin
 
I recently received a K & C brochure from the early 1990s for Desert Storm which shows the figures Mark was asking about. I had never seen this brochure before and it's not on Sager's web site.

The upper half of the brochure show Desert Storm Marines (below) that I've never seen before. It's entirely possible that either Louis, Larry or Hans has them in their collection.

Cool brochure.^&cool I have the two different pilots with the bags, I think Larry has one with a bag, and one acting out the dogfight. By the way, happy new year to you and your family!:smile2:

I already had the Jet Pilot with the helmet, but I finally picked up the other Jet pilot using his hands to describe a dog fight (for $9.95) a bit dinged up, and he is being sent down under for a bit of spa treatment from our talented friend John (Obee):

You purchased the one Ascot was selling? I was going to buy it but already have it. You could have sent it to me to have Mike DeMarco fix. You’d have it sooner. I just purchased the HK motorcycle cop from him. Mike will be fixing that up. The only thing I need now to complete the set is the dog, which will probably be hard to find.

I already sent the pilot to John. Would Mike be interested in doing the Desert Storm Marine I got in the same lot?

My recollection is that he’s missing an arm, right? I can ask him to see if he can do it.
 
I will ask him if he can make both, which is what I assume you want.
 
Unfortunately, he couldn’t provide the M16. Maybe John can.
